The Android Telecom team powers modern connectivity across global networks. Our infrastructure manages calls daily. We're looking for passionate problem-solvers to help drive this mission forward. We focus on launching mobile communication standards, aligning with carrier and hardware allies to deliver ultra-reliable voice and data sessions to everyday customers. Our mission centers on building telephony OS architecture and background daemons that elevate connectivity across the ecosystem, including Phones, Tablets, Wearables, and Auto. US: $174000 - $252000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with Android application development.
- Experience programming in Java for software development, including AI/ML applications.
- Experience developing and designing APIs.
- Experience designing, developing or optimizing android frameworks/products.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with android framework and platform development.
- Experience working with calling technologies.
- Experience working with IMS and VoLTE.
- Collaborate closely with other Software Engineers, Product Managers, User Experience designers, cross-functional teams, and external partners.
- Debug and fix complex bugs reported during field testing and user feedback.
- Design and implement metrics and optimizations to monitor production quality and impact.
- Drive quality improvements through improved test coverage and code refactoring.
- Utilize Artificial Intelligence technologies in your day-to-day to aid in root cause analysis of bugs, designing, and implementing changes.
