About the Role
As a Maintenance Technician at Z-Modular - Flatz 480 in San Tan Valley, AZ , you will play a key role in supporting the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment within an industrial setting. You will apply electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic knowledge while troubleshooting and resolving technical issues to maintain production efficiency. This role is ideal for someone with strong problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

What You’ll Do

- Lead and promote healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.
- Inspect and maintain engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines using hoists, cranes, hand, and power tools to fulfill preventive maintenance requirements.
- Apply troubleshooting techniques to plant electrical systems and Programmable Logic Controls, motors, drives, and relays.
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
- Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels and anticipating needed items.
- Attend educational workshops, review technical publications, and establish personal networks to maintain technical knowledge.
- Communicate with supervisors to build positive working relationships and ensure efficient operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per scheduled shift assignment.

Who You Are

- High School Diploma or GED required; Technical or Trade School in a related field preferred.
- Must become certified for in-house crane, fork truck operation, and other lift and/or mobile equipment.
- Some welding experience preferred; prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of machinery functionality through diagrams, sketches, manuals, and specifications.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Ability to stand for 10–12 hours per shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

Work Environment

- Protected from weather conditions but not from temperature changes.
- Includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, high heat, and chemicals.
