Job Summary
The Lubricant Pricing & Analytics Specialist is responsible for the administration, analysis, and maintenance of lubricant pricing to support profitable growth across Senergy Petroleums lubricant business. This position monitors supplier pricing, rebates, discounts, contracts, and market activity; analyzes lubricant margins and profitability; and works collaboratively with Sales, Procurement, Finance, and Contract Administration to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential
Pricing Administration & Profitability
- Review lubricant invoices for pricing discrepancies, supplier rebates, discounts, and other applicable pricing programs prior to invoice approval.
- Maintain accurate lubricant supplier costs and pricing within company systems and implement pricing changes as directed by management.
- Monitor supplier price increases, decreases, discounts, rebates, and other pricing changes and ensure corresponding Senergy systems and pricing structures are updated accurately and timely.
- Monitor lubricant margins and identify pricing discrepancies, margin erosion, or other profitability concerns requiring management attention.
- Support the development and implementation of lubricant pricing strategies designed to maintain competitive positioning while achieving company profitability objectives.
- Assist in developing and maintaining pricing guidelines, pricing structures, and margin expectations for lubricant products.
Pricing Analytics & Reporting
- Prepare weekly and monthly lubricant pricing and margin analyses, including identification and explanation of key factors impacting profitability and price movement.
- Develop spreadsheets, reports, presentations, and other analytical tools that communicate lubricant pricing trends and business performance.
- Analyze pricing, product costs, rebates, discounts, supplier programs, and customer pricing to identify opportunities to improve margins and profitability.
- Provide relevant pricing and profitability data for daily, weekly, and monthly business review meetings.
- Identify trends, exceptions, and opportunities within lubricant pricing data and communicate findings to management.
- Maintain historical pricing information and supporting documentation to assist with trend analysis and future pricing decisions.
Sales & Commercial Support
- Partner closely with Sales Management to establish and maintain lubricant pricing guidelines.
- Review and process special pricing requests while considering supplier costs, customer requirements, competitive conditions, and company margin expectations.
- Provide Sales leadership and representatives with timely pricing information necessary to support customer proposals and commercial decisions.
- Assist management with evaluating pricing opportunities that support increased volume, margin improvement, customer retention, and profitable growth.
Procurement & Supplier Coordination
- Work closely with the Lubricant Procurement team to provide pricing, demand, supplier, and market information that supports inventory optimization and purchasing decisions.
- Monitor supplier communications regarding pricing changes, rebate programs, discounts, promotions, and other commercial programs.
- Ensure applicable supplier rebates and discounts are properly identified, documented, communicated, and incorporated into profitability analysis.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies involving supplier costs, invoices, rebates, or product pricing.
Contract Pricing & Data Management
- Partner with Senergys Contract Specialist to ensure pricing is updated accurately and timely in accordance with lubricant contract requirements.
- Maintain organized records of supplier pricing, customer pricing, market intelligence, rebates, discounts, contracts, and related documentation.
- Accumulate relevant daily pricing and market intelligence and organize information within company systems for efficient indexing, retrieval, and use by Senergy personnel.
- Develop and maintain effective processes for the communication, documentation, review, and distribution of internal and external lubricant pricing information.
- Ensure pricing documentation and system information remain accurate, current, and accessible to appropriate stakeholders.

Preferred
- Minimum one (1) year of B2B experience
- Trade or technical school (Certificate or diploma) in an applicable field.
- Experience in transportation, lubricants, fuel, or a related industry
