What You’ll Do:

As a Control Systems Technician, you will as sist the Carthage, Missouri Instrument and Controls / Sr Project Engineer with scoping, planning, and executing PCS projects, and maintaining process control system documentation. Other duties include:

- Assist Electrical department in Alarm / Interlock verifications, calibrations, and troubleshooting process interruptions.
- Improve PCS documentation by auditing process areas and creating / updating electrical / control system schematics.
- Assist with instrumentation programming, calibrations, backups, and troubleshooting
- Assist in maintaining the CAMO PCS Critical Instrumentation Register and planning required calibrations.
- Assist in maintaining and updating area Alarm / Interlock checklists
- Complete PCS Firmware updates during planned outages
- Base operating system version upgrades, service packs, patches and fixes
- Assist with process troubleshooting using Factory Talk View, Studio 5000 / Logix 5000/ Logix 500 software packages.
- Assist in troubleshooting control system network interruptions.
- Support the PCS Disaster Recovery program by completing periodic uploads and off-line verification of PCS application files.

What We’re Looking For:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering (Computer Science, Process Engineering, Electrical &Instrumentation Engineering or similar). - Comparable work experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree may be considered
- 5+ years’ experience working with control systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience or familiarity with Allen-Bradley Control Systems
- Ability to read and understand electrical / controls schematics and P & ID's
- Ability to troubleshoot control systems (480VAC – 24VDC)
- Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
- Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
