The Study at University City is seeking a dedicated Room Attendant  to help create a clean, comfortable, and welcoming experience for every guest. Room Attendants are responsible for the detailed cleaning and servicing of guest rooms while maintaining the high standards of cleanliness, care, and presentation expected throughout the hotel.

This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their work, notices the details, and understands that a thoughtfully prepared guest room is an important part of the overall guest experience.

Operations Snapshot

- Weekend and holiday availability is required based on business needs.
- The role involves cleaning both standard guest rooms and suites, including kitchen areas where applicable.
- Room Attendants regularly coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and other departments to address guest needs.

Responsibilities

- Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to established hotel standards.
- Strip and make beds, replace linens, and change duvet covers as required.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including showers, toilets, sinks, mirrors, counters, floors, and fixtures.
- Dust and clean furniture, baseboards, shelves, window ledges, decorative items, and other room surfaces.
- Vacuum and sweep floors and remove trash from guest rooms.
- Replenish towels, bathroom linens, guest amenities, and room supplies according to established standards.
- Operate dishwashers and clean and restock kitchen items in guest suites according to established par levels.
- Provide stayover service and respond promptly and courteously to guest requests for additional amenities or assistance.
- Inspect rooms while cleaning and promptly report maintenance concerns, damaged items, or other issues requiring attention.
- Complete periodic deep-cleaning and preventative-cleaning assignments as directed.
- Protect guest privacy and confidentiality and maintain proper security of assigned rooms, room keys, and work areas.
- Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and supplies in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
- Communicate effectively with Housekeeping leadership and other hotel departments regarding room status and guest needs.
- Follow all hotel cleanliness, safety, security, and loss-prevention procedures.
- Support fellow team members and other areas of the hotel as needed to provide a consistent guest experience.

Fundamentals

- Previous hotel housekeeping or professional cleaning experience is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, well-presented guest rooms.
- Dependable attendance and the ability to manage assigned rooms efficiently within established standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, supervisors, and fellow team members.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- Flexible availability, including mornings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a shift.
- Ability to bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and safely maneuver housekeeping carts and equipment.
