Work Environment: We offer a hybrid work environment that offers flexibility to our employees in balancing in-office (2 days per week OR 15 hours per week in a Wawanesa office) and remote work. Working Business Language : English. This role is considered a head-office role and will be required to communicate with internal stakeholders across Canada where the primary business language utilized is English.
Salary: At Wawanesa, salary is only one component of a holistic, comprehensive and competitive offering that we provide to our employees. The salary offered for this role is determined with consideration to various factors, including but not limited to: your work location, local labour market conditions, external market salary data, internal pay equity and the knowledge, skills, experience and anticipated proficiency in the role. The salary offered is estimated to be within the following range: $50,000 - $60,000. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are still encouraged to apply.

Job Overview
Working under minimal supervision, this role is accountable for the processing and management of broker-billed receivables and related transactions/processes.
Note: this role is a term position, expected to be 12 months in length.
Job Responsibilities
• Reconciles broker payments within Receivables Reconciliation Software.
• Conducts reconciliation review and maintenance in Receivables Reconciliation Software which includes but is not limited to reviewing variances or discrepancies and follows up on outstanding errors.
• Initiates communications with broker partners to ensure diligent handling of identified payment trigger items within Service Level Agreements.
• Maintains alignment to documented processes, procedures, and Service Level Agreements.
• Processes deposits, including journal entries, maintain logs and required payment documentation for auditing & record maintenance purposes.
• Ensures the transactions are accurate, valid, and complete.
• Fosters positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assists with Standard Work documentation through participating in the review and updates for quality assurance purposes.
• Assists with system changes, testing, and implementation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience with billing reconciliations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with strong proficiency in Excel.
• Working knowledge of Copilot or other AI Assistance software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify systematic connections, problems, and issues.
• High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
• Solid communication skills with the ability to express ideas clearly, clarify and ask probing questions to ensure understanding, and write in a clear concise manner.
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
• Adaptable to a changing environment by adjusting effectively to change, exploring the benefits, trying new approaches, and collaborating with others to make the change successful.
• A cooperative, enthusiastic and energetic attitude.
• Actively enrolled in the CIP program or willingness to enroll is an asset.
• Experience with PeopleSoft and Guidewire Software, specifically Billing Center, is an asset.
• Experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry is an asset.
