AWS Analytics Finance seeks a world class Finance Manager for the Redshift business. This position will serve as a strategic leader who work closely with senior leadership to drive thoughtful analysis and controllership for the Redshift service.

Key job responsibilities
- Controllership & Reporting: Manage financial reporting, track KPIs, and perform variance analysis across planning, forecasting, and reporting cycles.
- Strategic Finance Leadership: Set and track critical business goals that are key inputs to pricing decisions across Redshift service.
- Contribute to driving improved AWS free cash flows.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Build complex financial models and analytical tools to set and track overall financial performance against goals.
- Lead OP and R&O planning, and weekly/monthly utilization reviews with AWS senior leadership.
- Process Improvement: Be a thought leader to improve and simplify processes, drive standardization, and build scalable solutions to support business growth.
- Mentorship: Coach and train Senior Financial Analysts on the team to operate independently in complex, fast-paced, and ambiguous environment.

Basic Qualifications

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
- 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
- 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience

Preferred Qualifications

- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
