Patient Access Specialist - Haymarket Medical Center Registration

The Role

In this high-impact position, you will serve as a trusted access expert across multiple clinical settings, supporting patient intake, registration, scheduling, and financial clearance functions. Your ability to adapt quickly, maintain accuracy, and provide outstanding service will directly influence both patient experience and operational efficiency.

On any given day, you may:

- Perform  patient registration, insurance verification, and demographic updates  with a high level of accuracy

- Communicate directly with patients and families, providing  clear guidance on processes, expectations, and next steps

- Collaborate with clinical teams, providers, and fellow access staff to  resolve complex scheduling or registration challenges

- Maintain composure in a  fast-paced, high-volume environment  while prioritizing both patient care and compliance standards

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent. Customer service experience preferred.

Experience: Preferred not required.

Licensure: None required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires sitting for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive) and repetitive motion: computer keyboard. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs.

The pay range for this role is $17.50 - $26.76 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
