The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets. Job Responsibilities:

- Lead a cross functional team required to ensure supplier production readiness.  Review and approve supplier PPAPs.
- Determine incoming inspection processes and frequencies. Complete incoming inspection audits as required.
- Complete supplier audits to identify and eliminate possible failure modes with the supplier’s production operations.
- Issue written documentation to suppliers regarding quality issues. Assist in the resolution of any quality issues, ensure the proper methods for resolution are being followed.
- Manage sort and containment activity for supplier issues.
- Oversee the disposition of any rejected supplied components to ensure proper credit is received for non-conforming materials and other associated costs.
- Complete RMAs and supplier chargebacks to ensure cost is recovered from supplier impacts.
- Attend daily stop scrap reviews and disposition NC material daily to maintain minimal NC inventory.
- Respond promptly to customer concerns.
- Support cross-functional team in development of problem-solving documentation and auditing of Control Plans and FMEA’s.
- Understand customer problem solving tools and documentation to give effective communication back to the customer on issues.
- Complete gage reviews and track gages from start to finish including all necessary customer approvals.
- Coordinate MSA activity for gages.
- Complete capability studies in accordance with customer requirements for PPAP.
- Monitor ongoing SPC data and react accordingly to any issues found.
- Maintain quality records in accordance to IATF-16949 procedure(s).

Who we are looking for:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or appropriate job-related work experience.
- Must be a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or successfully enroll in and complete the next available CQE certification course offering following placement into the position.
- Minimum five years’ experience, preferably in the automotive industry.

Your preferred qualifications:

- Demonstrated understanding of SPC analysis.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints/CAD drawings along with the ability to interpret the specs as well as GD&T callouts.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with demonstrated abilities to communicate with Customers, Suppliers, APQP cross-functional teams and internal management team, along with presentation of detailed reports.
