Media Sales Strategist
***Please note that we offer flexibility regarding work location for candidates based in Alberta***
Who we're looking for:
We are seeking a dynamic Media Sales Strategist to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving revenue across multiple platforms, including Radio, Television, Digital, Out-of-Home (OOH), and Sports. The Media Sales Strategist will enhance operational efficiency and streamline sales tasks, allowing Account Managers to focus on building strong business relationships and improving solution selling skills.
The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in multimedia sales, exceptional project management skills, strong technical proficiency and a collaborative approach to working with both internal and external stakeholders, along with a keen understanding of the evolving media landscape.
What you'll do:
Transactional Task Management
- Exceed annual revenue targets by efficiently managing transactions and ensuring operational accuracy.
- Assist Account Managers in developing strategy and crafting multi-media proposals and presentations that align with client KPIs.
- Utilize AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to enhance efficiency and share insights with the team.
Campaign Support
- Assist with operational details for campaign development and execution, ensuring seamless communication with internal teams and clients as needed.
- Collaborate with departments such as Credit, Creative, AdOps, Branded Content & Integrations, Go-to-Market Team, and Insights.
- Working knowledge of the RSM order management systems (S4M, DOMO and Hivestack) and monitor campaigns for optimal performance.
- Collaborate closely with sales teams to ensure all campaign deliverables are aligned and completed according to their business requirements
Data Hygiene Maintenance
- Oversee the post-sale client journey for digital, OOH and post-campaign for TV and Radio campaigns, with creation of multiplatform wrap reports.
Enable Consultative Selling
- Assist Account Managers by managing proposals, developing media strategy, and managing campaign deliverables, allowing them to focus on strategic sales priorities.
- Foster a solution-focused team culture that promotes continuous learning and collaboration.
- Assist with customer service support in the absence of Account Managers.
What you'll bring:
- Proven success in a consultative sales or agency role, acting as a trusted advisor to clients.
- Solid understanding of various media channels, including radio, linear TV, digital display, Video/Connected TV, OOH
- Proficiency in using data and analytics to inform strategy and measure success.
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop effective media strategies across various platforms and adapt quickly to changing market conditions.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with various programs and systems relevant to media sales.
- Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Active listening and problem-solving capabilities.
- A collaborative mindset with a focus on positive engagement and empathy.
