Role Summary

Lead a demand planning team supporting new product introduction and pilot manufacturing. This role translates evolving project requirements into executable material plans and partners across Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Program Management to improve material readiness and schedule predictability.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and develop a team of demand planning professionals.
- Convert early project requirements into time-phased, MRP-driven demand.
- Oversee demand intake, BOM validation, lead-time analysis, and material planning.
- Drive material-readiness reviews and resolve shortages, supply constraints, and schedule risks.
- Establish clear ownership, planning standards, performance metrics, and escalation processes.
- Improve planning systems, reporting, and cross-functional workflows.
- Provide leadership with concise reporting on risks, recovery plans, and business impact.

Establish, implement, and manage system to evaluate, monitor and report supplier scorecard performance.

Coordinate and work with quality, engineering, machining, and assembly operations to ensure 100% on-time delivery by establishing and monitoring schedule to proactively identify and address any issues.

Represents materials organization on corporate materials task force teams.  Manages department budget, associated costs and resources.

Position requires understanding of Applied Materials global Standards of Business Conduct and compliance with these standards at all times. This includes demonstrating the highest level of ethical conduct reflecting Applied Materials' core values.

- ead, coach, and develop a team of Demand Project Managers.
- Own the end-to-end FastTrack demand planning and material-readiness process.
- Translate early project requirements into executable, MRP-driven demand.
- Oversee request intake, BOM validation, lead-time assessment, and demand slotting.
- Establish clear governance, decision rights, ownership, and standard work.
- Lead material-readiness reviews covering shortages, supplier dates, expedites, BOM changes, and schedule risks.
- Coordinate cross-functional recovery plans for constraints affecting committed dates.
- Prevent duplicate demand during transitions between Planning BOM and standard execution paths.
- Drive continuous improvement across OneApp, Planning BOM, MRP, dashboards, and reporting.
- Define and monitor KPIs for demand quality, material readiness, shortage aging, and schedule performance.
- Provide leadership with clear reporting on risks, business impacts, owners, and recovery actions.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
