Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Millwright/Industrial Mechanic (CBA – Skilled Trades Ticketed) to join our team! In this role, you will support the Care and Maintenance team.

Local candidates are preferred; however, candidates available on a fly-in/fly-out rotational basis will also be considered .

This position works a rotational schedule of two (2) weeks on and two (2) weeks off, consisting of 12-hour shifts.

Employees are provided with an LOA allowance and are responsible for providing their own food and meals.

This position includes membership in the United Steelworkers Local 925. The hourly wage for this position is $47.99.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Conduct preventative maintenance and servicing of fixed equipment.

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and determine the extent of mechanical problems.

- Rebuild components and work with manufacturers when necessary.

- Document and return all completed work orders promptly.

- Communicate with Supervisors and coworkers to coordinate work and provide updates.

- Work with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

- Work with a team to conduct job risk assessments and safe work plans before starting a task, and perform work in a safe and well-managed manner.

- Check for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.

- Provide input and work collaboratively with Planners and Schedulers to develop work packages.

- Conduct pipeline and pumping system checks, scheduled inspections, adjustments, troubleshooting, and timely repairs.

- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping throughout workshops and other areas to ensure a safe work environment and effectively manage risks.

- Demonstrate full compliance with OHS and Environmental Management System standards by assisting with implementation and participating in initiatives, regular meetings, investigations, and training.

- Participate in and contribute to audits in the maintenance and production facilities.

- Maintain a working knowledge of all task instructions and procedures.

- Ensure procedures are followed when carrying out all tasks and assist colleagues in doing the same.

- Perform various other labour duties associated with dewatering and water treatment systems.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

- Valid Red Seal Journeyperson Millwright/Industrial Mechanic certification, or equivalent interprovincial certification, is required.

- Previous experience in a production-based plant or industrial plant setting is preferred.

- Mechanical aptitude with multistage submersible, sump, and centrifugal pump experience.

- Experience with previous CMMS programs or the ability to learn Maintenance Connection.

- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

- Ability to follow and give directions effectively.

- Ability to sit or stand for long periods.

- Ability to work a variety of shifts.

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
