Teledyne Digital Imaging is a subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies Inc., a U.S. publicly listed enterprise, and specializes in the manufacture, design, research and development of high-performance CMOS and CCD image sensors and modular expandable cameras. Teledyne Digital Imaging's products are used worldwide in machine vision, document scanning, image capture, surveillance, process monitoring, manufacturing inspection, medical imaging, and multimedia.

We are seeking an Acquisition Software Developer - GigE Vision with a passion for high-performance networking and machine vision systems to join our Software R&D team. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, validation, and maintenance of Ethernet-based software components used across multiple industrial imaging products.

This role focuses on the development of Windows software for GigE Vision devices, networking infrastructure, and related SDK components. The position requires strong software engineering practices, including automated testing, cybersecurity awareness, and modern development workflows.

What You Will Do:

Software Development

- Design, implement, and maintain software components in C and C++.
- Develop tools, test infrastructure, and automation using Python.
- Enhance and support Ethernet and GigE Vision software stacks used in industrial imaging applications.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve customer-reported issues.
- Participate in software architecture discussions and design reviews.
- Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, validation, and application teams.

Software Quality

- Develop and maintain unit tests for new and existing software components.
- Contribute to integration, system, and regression testing activities.
- Investigate defects and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Development Processes

- Use Git-based source control workflows.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated build systems.
- Follow established software development lifecycle processes.
- Maintain technical documentation and design specifications.

Networking and Ethernet Technologies

- Develop and troubleshoot software involving Ethernet communications.
- Work with IP, UDP, RoCE and related network protocols.
- Support GigE Vision-based imaging systems and high-speed data transfer applications.
- Analyze network performance and communication issues.

What You Need:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong programming skills in C and C++.
- Experience with Python scripting and automation.
- Knowledge of software development best practices including: Source control (Git)
- Code reviews
- Automated testing
- Continuous integration

- Experience developing unit tests and test automation.
- Knowledge of Ethernet networking fundamentals and TCP/IP.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualification s

- Experience developing Windows device drivers or low-level system software.
- Experience with Linux software development.
- Experience with machine vision, industrial cameras, or image acquisition systems.
- Knowledge of GigE Vision, GenICam, or related industry standards.
- Experience with cybersecurity standards and secure software development practices.
- Familiarity with static analysis tools, sanitizers, and software quality metrics.
- Experience using AI-assisted coding, testing, and software development tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively in French in a bilingual environment.

Salary Range:
$93,700.00-$124,900.000
