As a Customer Service Representative (Intake) at CHM, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring smooth scheduling, accurate information collection, and compassionate service. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle patient interactions with professionalism and empathy.
Key Responsibilities
- Scheduling & Communication Schedule patient appointments and make reminder calls.
- Inform patients about delays and waiting times.
- Patient Information Management Obtain and update patient addresses, contact details, insurance information, and medical histories.
- Verify patient information at every visit.
- Assist patients in completing forms (history, consent, payment contracts).
- Financial Transactions Receive and process cash and credit card payments.
- Review patient accounts, identify delinquent accounts, and collect overdue payments.
- Customer Service & Support Answer, investigate, and direct patient inquiries or complaints to appropriate medical staff.
- Follow up with patients to ensure satisfactory resolution.
- Administrative Duties Perform clerical tasks such as filing paperwork and maintaining records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
- Prior experience in healthcare administration or customer service is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and healthcare management software.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain confidentiality.
