Business Office Manager – Skilled Nursing Facility

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee all financial operations within the business office, including billing, collections, and accounts receivable management

- Manage and coordinate admissions processes, ensuring timely and accurate documentation

- Handle various payor sources, including Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and other third-party payors

- Perform reconciliation of accounts and financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance

- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to facilitate smooth admission and discharge procedures

- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to billing and financial practices

- Prepare financial reports and analyze data to support operational decision-making

- Supervise and train business office staff, fostering a team-oriented environment

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in a business office or financial management role within a skilled nursing or healthcare setting

- Strong knowledge of payor sources, billing, and reimbursement processes

- Excellent reconciliation and accounting skills

- Ability to manage high volumes of admissions and financial transactions efficiently

- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards

- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

- Proficiency in healthcare billing software and Microsoft Office Suite

Requirements

Qualifications

Education:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- BA degree in Accounting or Business is preferred.

Licenses/Certification:

- Valid driver’s license required

Experience:

- Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
- Three years of experience in accounts receivable, collections or similar area of responsibility.
- Three years office or administration experience preferred.
