About the role

We are looking for an experienced Software Developer to join our growing product team.
You will work across our product: a Laravel-based web portal used by Swedish employers to manage employee absence and health, as well as a new mobile app currently in development.
We are a small team, which means no rigid “web person” or “mobile person” roles. We collaborate, learn from each other and pitch in where the product needs us. You will help build new features, improve performance and reliability, and make thoughtful improvements to an established codebase.
As we work with sensitive personal data, quality, security and good engineering practices matter a lot to us.

What you’ll do

- Develop and maintain features across our web portal and mobile app
- Work hands-on with PHP, Laravel, relational databases and integrations
- Improve application and database performance, including queries and indexing
- Navigate technical debt, legacy patterns and ongoing improvements with pragmatism
- Collaborate on code reviews, technical decisions and product development
- Work with Docker, CI/CD and cloud deployments
- Learn new technologies and contribute wherever the team needs you

We think you’ll thrive here if you have

- 5+ years of experience building and maintaining production software
- Strong experience with a server-rendered web framework, such as Laravel, Symfony, Rails, Django or ASP.NET Core
- A genuine interest in working with PHP and Laravel day to day
- Solid relational database skills, including query optimisation and performance troubleshooting
- Experience working in existing codebases—not just greenfield projects
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD and a major cloud platform such as Azure, AWS or GCP
- A collaborative mindset and the confidence to pick up unfamiliar technologies
- Professional fluency in English; Swedish is a strong advantage

##### Nice to have
Experience with any of the following is a bonus:

- Flutter, React Native or native mobile development
- GDPR or sensitive personal data in healthcare, finance or another regulated setting
- Multi-tenant SaaS products
- AI coding assistants and agentic workflows
- Livewire, Alpine.js, Blade, Vue, React, TypeScript, Terraform, Kubernetes or PostgreSQL

For the technically curious (and the proud tech nerds), here’s our stack:

Laravel / PHP, Livewire 3, Alpine.js, Blade, Bootstrap 5 / SCSS, MySQL / MariaDB, Redis, Docker, GitHub Actions and Azure Container Apps with Bicep.
Our mobile app is built in Flutter. We also work with OAuth, webhooks, SFTP-based file flows and integrations such as Försäkringskassan. Some parts of the frontend still use jQuery—because real-life codebases are rarely built in a day.
