Youth Volleyball Coach

The YMCA of Orange County is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We are actively seeking highly engaged, intentional, and service-oriented individual for a part-time Volleyball Coach position.

The Volleyball Coach will foster a supportive and team-focused environment while leading programs that inspire active lifestyles and community well-being.

Work Schedule: We are currently hiring for 2 coach positions with the following schedule:

Coach Opening #1

- Tuesdays: 3:45 PM - 9:15 PM

- Thursdays: 3:45 PM - 5:00 PM

- Sundays: 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Coach Opening #2

- Thursdays: 3:45 PM - 9:15 PM

- Sundays: 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Purpose and Impact:

- Be a Mentor:

Guide youth in building confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship while developing fundamental skills for success on and off the field.

- Facilitate Participant Experience:

Lead participants through registration and check-in with professionalism, communicate schedules and program details clearly, and ensure every athlete feels prepared and supported.

- Inspire Positive Engagement:

Encourage athletes to embrace sportsmanship and collaboration while fostering a positive, motivating environment that promotes learning and personal development.

- Build Positive Connections:

Engage with youth and families to foster a friendly atmosphere, answer questions, and create a space that encourages open communication and lasting connections.

- Job description will be provided during interview.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Minimum Age: Must be 16 with a valid work permit.

- Experience & Skills:

Must have experience in sports. Volleyball experience highly preferred.

- Must be able to work with children ages 3 to 15 years old.

- Experience in customer service preferred.

- Excellent communication, organization, and planning skills.

- Certifications:

First Aid and CPR certifications required (training provided and paid for by the YMCA).
