Role Summary
The Senior Director, 340B TPA Business Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, business performance, scalability, and strategic execution across Omnicell's 340B Third-Party Administrator (TPA) business. This leader serves as a key business partner across Product, Technology, Customer Success, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Sales, and Implementation organizations to ensure the delivery of industry-leading 340B solutions while supporting customer growth, regulatory compliance, and long-term business objectives.
This role leads strategic business operations initiatives, operational transformation efforts, performance management, process optimization, governance, and cross-functional planning activities that support Omnicell's 340B TPA platform and related service offerings. The Senior Director will play a critical role in advancing business scalability, improving customer outcomes, optimizing operational efficiency, and supporting the ongoing modernization of the 340B platform and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
• Develop and execute the operational strategy for Omnicell's 340B TPA business to support growth, profitability, customer retention, and service excellence.
• Partner with executive leadership to establish long-term business objectives, operating plans, and performance targets.
• Lead business planning processes, annual operating plans, quarterly business reviews, and strategic initiative governance.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational scalability and enable future platform growth.
• Serve as a key leader supporting business transformation initiatives, including platform modernization, process redesign, and technology enablement efforts.
Business Operations & Performance Management
• Establish and monitor key business performance metrics, dashboards, scorecards, and executive reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, customer outcomes, and financial performance.
• Lead operational reviews to identify trends, risks, capacity constraints, and opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with Finance to support forecasting, budgeting, business case development, and investment prioritization.
• Develop operational governance models that ensure alignment across functional teams.
Customer Operations & Service Excellence
• Collaborate with Customer Success, Service Management, Data Quality, and Operations teams to drive exceptional customer experiences.
• Monitor customer health indicators, renewal performance, implementation success, and operational service metrics.
• Support customer retention and growth initiatives through operational planning and stakeholder alignment.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve customer adoption, operational effectiveness, and service delivery consistency.
• Establish executive-level relationships with key customers, pharmacy partners, and industry stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Leadership
• Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Technology, Compliance, and Operations leaders to prioritize business initiatives and drive execution.
• Lead cross-functional programs supporting new product capabilities, platform enhancements, and operational readiness.
• Facilitate alignment between customer requirements, operational processes, and technology roadmaps.
• Drive organizational effectiveness through clear governance, accountability, and communication frameworks.
Compliance & Risk Management
• Ensure operational processes support compliance with federal 340B regulations, customer contractual obligations, and internal controls.
• Partner with Compliance, Legal, Security, and Risk Management teams to identify and mitigate operational risks.
• Support business continuity planning, operational resilience efforts, and audit readiness activities.
• Maintain deep knowledge of evolving 340B regulations, contract pharmacy trends, and industry best practices.
Leadership & Talent Development
• Build, develop, and lead a high-performing business operations organization.
• Establish performance expectations and development plans aligned with Omnicell leadership principles.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor emerging leaders and build organizational capability to support future growth.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Operations Management, Pharmacy, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, pharmacy services, healthcare technology, SaaS, consulting, or operations.
• 7+ years of people leadership experience managing directors, managers, and cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated success leading large-scale operational and business transformation initiatives.
• Experience developing executive-level business reviews, operating metrics, and strategic plans.
• Strong financial acumen, business planning, and operational performance management experience.
Base Compensation: $173,504.00 to $275,000.00
