This is a hybrid role and the location will be in Seattle.

The ideal Project Manager is a highly adaptive individual with expertise in managing multiple workstreams required to bring to life a core product . This is done at a fast pace within a large, complex organization . The Sr Project Manager of the Miami Design District location is responsible for the successful opening of our new shoe -focused Nordstrom location .  Over the course of the project, the Sr Project Manager will need to communicate with cross-functional teams to make decisions and monitor the progress of our opening milestones , delivering on the three key elements of scope, budget and timeline . Daily disciplines include oversee ing all aspects of projects, set ting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, continuously clarifying risks/dependencies/resources needed, and monitoring and summarizing progress of the project.

The role is complex in that it requires an individual who can work well independently and as part of the Nordstrom store team, flex their focus from short-term to long-term priorities, and collaborate with many teams (Store Design & Construction, Merchandising Strategy & Execution, Store Operations, Asset Protection, Technology, Marketing, HR, Learning & Leadership , and Regional Leaders) with two-way feedback and maintaining close relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Demonstrates broad and full understanding of how the business operates and defined KPIs

- Serves as a mentor for more junior project managers and project specialists, both actively and as a role model in actions and practices, while resolving individual workstream breakdowns

- Manages complex projects that are large in scope, applying mastery of project management concepts, theories, and principles with business insigh ts

- Uses collaboration and networking with the business to understand key issues and aligns cross-functional teams to the tasks best positioned to complete them

- Facilitates team progress in driving solutions and making effective business decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project

- Partner with the Store/Regional teams, providing clear direction, and ensuring standards are met with timely delivery of the Miami Design District location

- Communicat es clearly and concisely with senior leadership through Director level and lower on the Pyramid, independently identifying issues and changes and proposing solutions to keep the project aligned with their goals

- Owns budget and resource planning, adjusting schedules and targets as needs or financing for the project change

- Proficiently manages work execution through project dependencies, risks, schedules, and budgets across the full project lifecycle (requirements, scope, schedule, resources, testing, quality, release, costs, changes) for cross-functional initiatives

- Organizes and communicates complex information clearly and simply to drive actions, using fact-based and relevant data to translate ideas into action and deliver on intended results.

- Builds and delivers against plans across a single capability, setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines, and contributes to strategic initiatives with longer-timelines of testing and implementation.

- Leads the team to gather and interpret data, setting requirements for data collection and definition to identify problems and solutions and maintain the standards expected

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 4-year degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience and/or training in project management principles

- 3 + years’ experience in project management with demonstrated successful project delivery

- Demonstrated analysis and problem-solving skills

- Demonstrated negotiation and facilitation skills

- P MP certification preferred

- Management of projects with cross-functional stakeholders

- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills

- Working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes

- Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations.
Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
$93,500.00 - $155,000.00 Annual
