Pay Range: $70,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

Schedule & Hours: Monday through Friday. Evening, nights, and overnight availability is required. The hours may vary from as early as 2PM to 1AM, or 7PM to 5AM per business need.

As the IPM Supervisor, you will lead the daily operations of the IPM department while partnering closely with Cultivation Management to maintain a healthy, pest-free environment.This is an exciting opportunity to lead a new team from the ground up while contributing to the production of high-quality cannabis products.

Position Summary

As an IPM Supervisor, you will oversee all aspects of our IPM program, ensuring plant health, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence from clone through harvest. The ideal candidate combines strong cultivation knowledge with leadership experience, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and solving plant health challenges before they become problems. This role will be supporting our Surterra Wellness operations in Florida.

What You'll Do

- Lead and supervise the day-to-day activities of the IPM team

- Ensure compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures, and state medical marijuana regulations

- Partner closely with Cultivation Management to develop and execute integrated pest management strategies

- Conduct routine pest inspections throughout cultivation areas and implement corrective actions when needed

- Identify, prevent, and eliminate insects, diseases, fungi, and other cultivation threats through proactive IPM practices

- Mix and apply approved pesticides and biological control products according to established procedures and regulatory requirements

- Research treatment methodologies, pesticides, and preventative solutions to continuously improve plant health outcomes

- Conduct air quality testing, environmental monitoring, and surface swab assessments to identify contamination risks

- Submit environmental cultures and samples to laboratories for identification and analysis

- Observe, document, and analyze data from IPM test trays and trials

- Maintain current Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS) for all pesticides and plant protection products

- Communicate preventative maintenance plans and plant health observations with cultivation teams

- Develop, update, and maintain IPM Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

- Lead departmental scheduling and coordinate daily, weekly, and long-term IPM activities

- Support cultivation operations as needed to achieve production goals

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

- Must be 21 years of age or older

- High School Diploma or GED

- Valid government-issued photo identification

- Minimum of 3 months of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) experience

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Strong mathematical and measurement skills for accurate mixing and application of products

- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

- 6+ months of IPM experience in a cultivation, greenhouse, nursery, or agricultural environment

- 1+ year of professional experience in landscaping, nursery operations, greenhouse production, agriculture, or commercial cultivation

- Working knowledge of plant diseases, insects, fungi, and integrated pest management practices

- Experience developing SOPs, training teams, and leading cultivation personnel

- Passion for the medical cannabis industry and advancing patient access through safe, high-quality cultivation practices

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly without assistance

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and reach throughout the workday

- Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including heat, humidity, and cooler temperatures

- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

- Ability to climb ladders and work safely around cultivation equipment

- Comfortable working in an environment with exposure to plant materials, pollen, dust, odors, fertilizers, and varying indoor climate conditions
