Job Purpose:
Built on more than 100 years of innovation, relationships, trust, and integrity, The Toro Company stands as a premier outdoor solutions leader. The Residential and Landscape Contractor division is seeking a Digital Growth Manager to drive data-led digital growth strategies that deliver measurable revenue impact across acquisition, conversion, retention, and post-sale customer expansion.
This role is accountable for advancing digital commerce, demand generation, marketing automation, customer experience, and sales-enabled growth strategies that produce proven incrementality and ROI. The Digital Growth Manager will own the strategy, business case, performance model, and optimization roadmap for digital programs that directly influence revenue growth, customer lifetime value, and profitable demand creation.
The Digital Growth Manager will bring senior-level experience in front-end e-commerce platforms, digital sales strategy, demand generation, UX/UI optimization, digital merchandising, lifecycle automation, and performance analytics. This role will partner closely with Sales, Product, Merchandising, IT, Analytics, Customer Care, and channel teams to identify growth opportunities, remove friction in the buyer journey, improve conversion, and increase post-sale revenue through automation, personalization, and data-driven optimization.
What Will You Do?
Digital Growth Strategy and Revenue Accountability
- Develop and lead the digital growth strategy across e-commerce, demand generation, lifecycle marketing, automation, and post-sale engagement, with clear accountability for measurable business outcomes.
- Translate divisional growth objectives into digital revenue strategies, including acquisition, conversion, retention, repeat purchase, upsell, cross-sell, and customer lifetime value expansion.
- Establish performance frameworks that connect digital investments to incrementality, ROI, ROAS, CAC efficiency, conversion rate, retention, customer lifetime value, and revenue contribution.
- Identify and prioritize growth opportunities based on customer behavior, sales funnel performance, channel data, e-commerce analytics, and business profitability.
- Build executive-level business cases for digital growth initiatives, including expected revenue impact, investment requirements, risks, dependencies, and success metrics.
- Lead external partners and vendors where needed to support e-commerce optimization, UX/UI improvements, measurement, personalization, automation, and demand generation.
- Provide strategic direction to cross-functional teams while maintaining enough technical fluency to guide execution, assess tradeoffs, and challenge recommendations.
- Champion a culture of data-led decision-making, experimentation, accountability, and continuous optimization.
- Manage a team of 2-3 direct reports responsible for operationalizing and scaling digital growth initiatives
E-Commerce, Front-End Platform, and Digital Sales Growth
- Lead front-end e-commerce growth strategy, including site experience, conversion pathways, product discovery, digital merchandising, offers, lead capture, and sales enablement opportunities.
- Own the e-commerce optimization roadmap, ensuring improvements are grounded in customer behavior, funnel analysis, UX/UI best practices, and business impact.
- Partner with sales channel, merchandising, product, analytics, and technology teams to improve the digital buying journey and increase qualified demand, conversion, and revenue.
- Evaluate and optimize digital sales experiences across owned platforms, retailer environments, microsites, and other digital touchpoints where customers research, compare, convert, or re-engage.
- Use e-commerce and sales data to identify friction points, abandoned journeys, underperforming segments, missed revenue opportunities, and post-sale growth potential.
Demand Generation and Lifecycle Revenue
- Lead demand generation strategy across digital channels, automation, CRM, e-commerce, and sales-enabled nurture programs.
- Design and optimize full-funnel programs that move audiences from awareness and engagement to qualified demand, conversion, repeat purchase, and advocacy.
- Use marketing automation to drive post-sale incrementality, including onboarding, product education, accessory adoption, service engagement, replenishment, loyalty, upsell, and cross-sell programs.
- Partner with sales and customer-facing teams to align digital programs with revenue opportunities, customer needs, seasonal demand patterns, and channel priorities.
- Ensure lifecycle programs are measurable, scalable, and tied to incremental revenue or customer value outcomes, not simply activity metrics.
UX/UI, Customer Experience, and Conversion Optimization
- Lead UX/UI optimization priorities for digital growth experiences, ensuring customer journeys are intuitive, conversion-oriented, accessible, and aligned with business goals.
- Use analytics, customer insights, usability findings, heatmaps, testing, sales feedback, and behavioral data to recommend improvements to page design, navigation, content hierarchy, calls to action, lead capture, and conversion flow.
- Establish a disciplined test-and-learn roadmap for A/B testing, multivariate testing, personalization, offer testing, landing page optimization, and journey experimentation.
- Partner with creative, content, product, merchandising, and technology teams to translate customer insights into improved digital experiences that drive measurable performance gains.
- Monitor and improve the quality of digital experiences across devices, platforms, customer segments, and buying stages.
Measurement, Incrementality, and ROI
- Define measurement strategies that distinguish correlated performance from incremental business impact.
- Establish reporting that connects digital programs to revenue, qualified demand, conversion, cost efficiency, retention, and customer lifetime value.
- Partner with analytics and finance teams to evaluate attribution, incrementality, test design, revenue contribution, and ROI.
- Build executive dashboards and performance narratives that clearly explain what is working, what is not, why it matters, and what actions are recommended.
- Use data to make investment recommendations across digital media, e-commerce experiences, automation, content, personalization, and conversion optimization.
What Do You Need?
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Digital Commerce, Data Analytics, or related field required. Advanced degree preferred.
- 8 to 10+ years of progressive experience in digital growth, demand generation, digital marketing, lifecycle marketing, sales enablement, or related commercial growth roles.
- Senior-level experience with digital sales automation platforms, conversion optimization, UX/UI strategy, digital merchandising, front-end e-commerce platforms, and customer experience improvement.
- Proven track record of using data-led strategies to deliver measurable incrementality, ROI, revenue growth, conversion improvement, customer retention, or lifetime value expansion.
- Strong foundation in demand generation, including full-funnel planning, lead capture, nurture, qualification, conversion, and sales alignment.
- Demonstrated experience using marketing automation to drive customer engagement, post-sale revenue, repeat purchase, upsell, cross-sell, retention, and lifecycle value.
- Experience with analytics and performance tools such as Google Analytics, Power BI, CRM reporting, e-commerce dashboards, testing tools, and attribution platforms.
- Proven UX/UI capability, including the ability to evaluate digital experiences, identify conversion barriers, prioritize improvements, and partner with design and technical teams to implement enhancements.
- Strong understanding of paid, owned, earned, CRM, automation, e-commerce, and digital sales channels, with the ability to connect channel activity to (digital) commercial outcomes.
- Experience building executive-level business cases, performance readouts, and growth recommendations grounded in data and business impact.
- Strong commercial orientation, with demonstrated ability to work closely with Sales, Product, Finance, Merchandising, IT, Analytics, and Customer Care.
- Ability to operate strategically while maintaining enough technical and analytical depth to guide execution, troubleshoot issues, and evaluate performance drivers.
- Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills in a matrixed organization.
- This position will work closely with vendors and must collaborate among a wide variety of internal teams including marketing, retail/sales channels, business segments, customer care, and more.
