The Director, Marketing Strategy & Planning is responsible for leading enterprise marketing strategy, annual planning, portfolio prioritization, business partner alignment, and strategic capability development across the organization. This role serves as the primary strategic leader responsible for translating enterprise objectives into actionable marketing strategies that drive member growth, product adoption, engagement, retention, and long-term organizational success.

The Director oversees the Marketing Strategy organization and leads strategic planning efforts across lending, deposits, ancillary products, SEG programs, sponsorships, partnerships, promotions, and future growth initiatives. This role serves as Marketing's primary liaison to business lines and executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment between enterprise priorities, member needs, product strategies, and marketing investments.

This position plays a critical leadership role in shaping and advancing major enterprise initiatives including Digital Banking transformation, CRM and lifecycle marketing evolution, website modernization, personalization capabilities, brand strategy, value proposition development, and future growth opportunities. The Director provides strategic oversight, coaching, and development to the marketing strategy team while driving enterprise-level planning, prioritization, and decision-making.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am -4:00pm. This position will be a hybrid model both in person and remote with minimum of onsite expectation of 60% or as needed.

In this position, you will

- Enterprise Marketing Strategy & Planning: Lead the development and execution of enterprise marketing strategies, annual marketing plans, and multi-year strategic roadmaps that align with organizational objectives and growth priorities. Ensure marketing investments are aligned with business needs, member opportunities, and desired outcomes.
- Strategic Leadership & Team Development: Lead and develop the Marketing Strategy organization, including Strategy Managers and Marketing Strategists. Establish strategic planning frameworks, coaching, development plans, and performance expectations that build organizational capability and future leadership capacity.
- Business Unit & Product Strategy Partnership: Provide strategic oversight and partnership across lending, deposits, ancillary products, SEG programs, partnerships, sponsorships, promotions, and future growth opportunities. Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities, define objectives, and develop marketing strategies that support organizational growth.
- Digital Banking & Member Experience Strategy: Serve as Marketing's strategic lead for Digital Banking transformation initiatives. Partner with Digital Experience, Product, Operations, and Technology teams to define marketing requirements, engagement strategies, onboarding experiences, adoption plans, and future member experience opportunities.
- Brand, Positioning & Value Proposition Strategy: Lead the development and evolution of PSECU's positioning, purpose, value proposition, messaging architecture, and long-term brand strategy. Ensure consistency across member experiences, products, programs, communications, and future growth initiatives.
- CRM, Lifecycle Marketing & Growth Strategy: Partner closely with the Lifecycle & Engagement organization to identify journey opportunities, lifecycle strategies, member engagement initiatives, growth opportunities, and future personalization use cases. Ensure CRM investments and marketing capabilities remain aligned with enterprise growth objectives.
- Strategic Roadmap & Portfolio Prioritization: Establish and oversee marketing portfolio planning, prioritization, and roadmap governance processes. Partner with Marketing Operations and business stakeholders to balance strategic priorities, organizational capacity, and enterprise objectives.
- Research, Insights & Opportunity Identification: Leverage market research, member insights, analytics, competitive intelligence, and emerging trends to identify growth opportunities and strategic recommendations. Translate insights into actionable business and marketing strategies.
- Executive Leadership & Organizational Influence: Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, representing Marketing in strategic planning discussions, business reviews, and enterprise initiatives. Influence decision-making, align stakeholders, and drive organizational consensus around strategic priorities.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Product, Retail Delivery, Business Development, Digital Experience, Operations, CRM, Analytics, Compliance, and Executive Leadership teams to ensure enterprise alignment and successful execution of strategic initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years of progressive professional experience in marketing strategy, product marketing, planning, business strategy, or related disciplines. | Required
