Job Title: Human Resources Specialist

Location: Coppell, TX | On-site / Full-Time

Compensation: $68,000 - $72,000 annually

Position Summary

We are seeking a people-focused HR Specialist to support employees and leaders across the organization. The HR Specialist will provide day-to-day support across Employee Relations and general Human Resources activities. This role will have a strong focus on the administrative and documentation aspects of Employee Relations while also supporting HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate is approachable, solution-oriented, and able to balance employee advocacy with business needs.

The top priority of this role will be to provide consistent, timely, and effective HR support while addressing employee relations matters appropriately.

As the business continues to grow, the HR Specialist must be able to build trust with employees and leaders, exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and ensure HR practices are applied consistently across the organization. Just as critically, this role must be able to identify concerns early, communicate effectively, and help create a positive and productive employee experience.

Primary Responsibilities

- Provide administrative and documentation support for Employee Relations matters, including maintaining case files, documentation, trackers, and follow-up items.

- Review corrective action requests and supporting documentation for completeness and obtain additional information when necessary.

- Maintain accurate records of corrective actions, performance discussions, employee concerns, and other Employee Relations activities.

- Prepare separation and termination documentation, including termination letters and other required employee communications.

- Support employee offboarding activities and ensure required documentation, notifications, and HRIS transactions are completed accurately and timely.

- Prepare and process Personnel Action Forms and other employment changes, including transfers, promotions, reporting changes, compensation changes, and separations.

- Support unemployment administration, including responding to claims, gathering documentation, maintaining records, coordinating information for hearings, and providing administrative support throughout the unemployment process.

- Process employment verification requests, wage deduction forms, and other employment-related documentation.

- Monitor designated HR inboxes and employee requests, respond to routine inquiries, track outstanding items, and route or escalate matters to the appropriate HR team member.

- Maintain Employee Relations and HR trackers and assist with preparing routine reports to support HR leadership.

- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS information and ensure required documentation is properly maintained.

- Provide general administrative support across Human Resources based on business and departmental needs, and support the consistent administration of established HR policies, procedures, and practices.

- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee and company information with professionalism and discretion.

- Employees may be assigned additional duties, responsibilities, projects, work locations, or tasks based on operational and business needs.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications and Skills:

- 1–3 years of Human Resources or related business administrative experience.

- Bachelors degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

- Experience supporting HR processes such as offboarding, employee records, employee relations, and/or employee lifecycle activities.

- Experience working with HRIS systems; Paycom experience is a plus.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

- Sound judgment, discretion, and ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive employee information.

- Strong problem-solving and follow-through skills, including the ability to recognize when matters require escalation.

- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of an HR team.

- Adaptability and willingness to support multiple areas of HR as business needs evolve.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business applications.

- HR certification, such as PHR or SHRM-CP, preferred but not required.

Pay:

- $68,000 - $72,000 annually
