Laborer

As a laborer at RJM Construction, you will perform tasks involving physical labor at construction projects. Operate a variety of hand and power tools. Clean and prepare sites, perform demolition work, clean up rubble and debris and remove waste materials. May assist other craft workers.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Demolition of job sites in preparation for construction

- Material handling and storage

- Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.

- Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the Foreman, Safety Director or HR Manager.

Qualifications

Education:

- Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work.

Work Experience :

- Previous experience performing manual labor in the commercial or residential construction industry.

Demonstrated Technical Competencies to include:

- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

- Adobe Creative Suite, Viewpoint CS and Sage/Timberline experience desirable, but not necessary

Demonstrated Professional Competencies to include:

- Represent RJM in a professional manner

- Knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions

- Ability to work independently and complete activities according to work schedule

- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long period of time

- Ability to communicate orally and in writing

This is a Safety Sensitive position.

Valid Union card required

The hourly pay rate for the Union Laborer positions is $37.00 - $46.25. Please note that wage rates are subject to change based on the release of updated union wage rate sheets for the 2027-2028 period.
