Herring Bank is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Teller I to join our Vernon team. As a Teller I, you’ll be one of the faces of Herring Bank, providing excellent customer service while assisting customers with their everyday banking needs.
This is a great opportunity for someone with customer service and cash-handling experience who is interested in growing their career in retail banking. 
What You’ll Do
•  Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, check cashing, and other routine financial transactions accurately and efficiently 
•  Balance your cash drawer daily and verify end-of-day totals 
•  Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service 
•  Identify potential fraud or unusual account activity 
•  Refer customers to appropriate bank services and team members 
•  Promote bank products and services when appropriate 
•  Assist with night depository duties and ATM errors 
•  Help customers with basic online banking needs, including password resets, account navigation, and common login issues 
•  Answer incoming calls professionally and direct customers to the appropriate department or team member 
•  Participate in branch opening and closing procedures 
•  Follow bank policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and branch security standards

What We’re Looking For
•  High school diploma or GED 
• 6 months of teller experience OR 1 year of related customer service and cash-handling experience
•  Basic math and computer skills 
•  Effective communication and time-management skills 
•  Dependable and punctual with the ability to work scheduled shifts 
•  Ability to successfully pass a background check

Schedule
Monday–Friday, with some Saturdays
Flexible schedule, typically between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
