Mural is partnering with a manufacturing company in Huntersville, NC to fill production associate openings on both day and night shift. Our client produces fire-resistant insulation materials used in industrial ovens, paint lines, appliances, and oil rig fire suppression systems. They run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and are building out their permanent workforce now. We will consider applicants for both shifts -- candidates available for night shift will be prioritized for first interviews.

What you will be doing

You will start at the end-of-line operation: packaging finished material, applying labels, staging product for shipping, and making sure everything leaving the line is correct and ready to go. You do not need manufacturing experience to start -- you need to be fast, attentive, and willing to learn. Strong performers advance quickly within the role.

The schedule

Day shift runs 6AM to 6PM. Night shift runs 6PM to 6AM. Both are 12-hour rotating shifts. New hires train on day shift for two to three weeks before transitioning to their assigned shift. The rotation gives you one to two weekday days off built in each week for appointments and errands. One week you work 36 hours, the next you work 48. Overtime is built into the schedule, not optional.

Night shift candidates will be contacted first. Day shift candidates will be contacted as openings are confirmed.

What this pays

- $17.54 per hour base
- Built-in overtime every other week
- Attendance bonus of up to $800 per month for consistent, on-time workers -- effective hourly rate for reliable employees runs well above $20/hr
- Company-provided PPE including FR gear and steel-toe boots (up to $115/year, two pairs)

What we are looking for

- Physically active and able to stay engaged for a full 12-hour shift
- Reliable attendance -- the attendance bonus is real money and it rewards people who show up consistently
- Comfortable working quickly in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- English or Spanish speaking (our training materials are in both languages)
- Willing to commit to night shift after the training period
- Clear background check required -- no theft history

Be honest with yourself before applying

This is a hot, dusty environment. The material we manufacture is a ceramic fiber that can be itchy, and you will be required to wear long sleeves and long pants at all times. If you have sensitive skin or skin conditions like eczema, this role will be uncomfortable and is likely not the right fit. Our supervisors are experienced and direct.
