About Revival Research Institute

Revival Research Institute, LLC has been conducting industry-sponsored clinical trials since 2015. Headquartered in Metro Detroit, we operate sites across Michigan, Texas, Illinois, New Jersey, and North Carolina, and have been recognized nationally for the quality of the data we deliver to our sponsors.

About This Role

We are hiring a Physician Assistant (Associate) to serve as a Clinical Research Sub-Investigator, supporting the safe, compliant, and efficient conduct of clinical trials under the oversight of the Principal Investigator. The PA serves as a medically qualified member of the investigator team and helps ensure that study-related medical care and decisions are timely, appropriately documented, and consistent with the protocol, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), applicable regulations, the IRB-approved plan, sponsor requirements, and organizational procedures.

This role does not replace the PI and does not independently assume responsibilities reserved to the PI, the sponsor, the IRB, or another licensed professional. Authority is study-specific and begins only after required credentialing, training, sponsor acceptance where applicable, and documentation on the delegation-of-authority log.

Physician Assistants at Revival support the Investigators and clinical staff with study-related tasks including, but not limited to:

Responsibilities

- Clinical assessment and protocol execution. Perform advanced clinical assessment and execute protocol-required medical tasks within delegated authority. Integrate medical history, examination findings, laboratory data, concomitant medications, and protocol criteria when evaluating participants.
- Participant safety surveillance. Recognize clinical risk, respond with appropriate urgency, and prioritize participant rights, safety, and well-being. Escalate safety concerns appropriately and follow issues through to resolution.
- Source documentation and data integrity. Produce timely, accurate, traceable records and resolve discrepancies without obscuring the original record. Document sound clinical reasoning.
- Protocol discipline. Follow current approved materials and do not improvise around eligibility, dosing, safety, or endpoint requirements.
- Regulatory compliance. Meet investigator-site obligations covering informed consent, safety reporting, protocol adherence, privacy, and essential documentation.
- Operational reliability. Manage scheduled visits, review queues, signatures, queries, and follow-up within required timelines.
- Cross-functional coordination. Work effectively across clinical, regulatory, pharmacy, laboratory, recruitment, quality, and sponsor/CRO teams. Communicate clearly with participants, investigators, staff, sponsors/CROs, and healthcare providers.
- Escalation and accountability. Recognize role boundaries, communicate concerns early, and accept ownership of assigned actions.

Required Qualifications

- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program; master's degree or higher preferred/required in accordance with applicable licensure standards.
- Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in each state where assigned clinical services will be performed.
- Current NCCPA certification.
- Current Basic Life Support certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification required when appropriate to the study population, procedures, or site emergency plan.
- DEA registration and state controlled-substance authorization when required for assigned prescribing or study responsibilities.
- At least two years of direct patient-care experience preferred; experience in the site's therapeutic areas strongly preferred.
- Clinical research experience preferred. Candidates without prior research experience must demonstrate the ability to complete structured research, GCP, protocol, and system training before independent task assignment.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate clinical information, recognize safety concerns, document sound clinical reasoning, and escalate appropriately.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and ability to learn CTMS, eSource, EDC, safety, laboratory, and sponsor systems.
- Ability to communicate clearly with participants, investigators, staff, sponsors/CROs, and healthcare providers.
