Armorous Security is hiring Armed Emergency Support Officers (ESO II) for candidates with prior armed security experience and a clean firearm qualification record.

Pay: $28.00/hr

Employment Type: On-Call / Per-Diem (Non-Guaranteed Hours)

Classification: Non-Exempt

Coverage Area: Bay Area — Richmond, San Francisco, San Jose, Fairfield, and surrounding cities. You'll cover different sites across the region, so reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between locations is a must.

Availability Required: Must be available for some or all weekdays, weekends, and holidays, across day, swing, and night (graveyard) shifts.
The more flexible your availability, the more shifts we can offer you.

Experience: 1–3 years of verified armed security experience, or equivalent time as an Armorous Armed ESO I with a clean firearm qualification history

What You'll Do

- Provide excellent customer service while carrying out safety, security, and emergency response procedures at assigned sites.

- Accept and work coverage shifts as offered by dispatch, including short-notice and emergency assignments.

- Serve as a dependable resource for less-common post types without needing extended briefing.

- Safely carry, maintain, and deploy a firearm in accordance with company policy, state law, and BSIS use-of-force guidelines.

- Patrol buildings, posts, and perimeters, and monitor access at entrances and gates.

- De-escalate situations calmly and professionally, using independent judgment.

- Write clear, accurate reports of daily activity and incidents.

What We're Looking For

- Active BSIS Guard Card and Firearm Permit (California).

- Sustained ability to safely carry, maintain, and deploy a firearm, with a clean qualification record.

- Demonstrated independent judgment and problem-solving in time-sensitive situations.

- Able to pass a standard background check.

- Reliable transportation to travel between assigned sites.

- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
