Student Success/Library Building Attendant (Part-Time)
Job Summary
The Student Success Building Attendant serves as the primary staff presence in the library and student success building on Saturdays. This position helps maintain a safe, welcoming environment for students by monitoring building access, assisting with basic questions and printing support, and serving as a resource for students and visitors. The most important qualifications for this role are: Punctuality, reliability, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently.
Schedule: Saturdays, 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Essential Duties
- Staff the front desk during assigned hours.
- Monitor building access and welcome students and visitors.
- Provide directions and information about campus resources and services.
- Assist with basic printing and technology questions.
- Support student activities and events occurring within the building.
- Report safety, security, or facility concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Customer service or front-desk experience preferred.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email.
- Commitment to providing excellent service to students and visitors.
Interrelations
- Regular interaction with students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Must demonstrate professionalism and respect for individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Hourly Rate: $15.00 per hour
