The Position

Are you early in your university studies and looking for a long-term, high-impact role at Roche? We are looking for a tech-savvy, proactive  Working Student to join the CareRing Core Team. If you love taking initiative, have an entrepreneurial mindset and are excited to master social media and community management from the ground up, this is the opportunity for you.

CareRing (part of the Global Patient Network team) is Roche’s global virtual community dedicated to patients and caregivers who are employees. It offers a safe and supportive space for colleagues to connect and share personal stories, while bridging the gap to our daily work—helping us learn from lived experiences to keep empathy and authentic human insights at the heart of Roche’s innovation.

The Opportunity

- Master Social & Digital Community Management: Building skills by managing both front-office member engagement and back-office platform operations for a global internal community of patients and caregivers.
- Long-Term Growth & Mentorship: Work alongside experienced leaders over the next 2+ years, taking on increasing responsibility
- Supercharge Your Professional Profile: Build a network across global sites, working directly with ambassadors, functional teams, and senior leadership.

What You’ll Do (Deliverables & Responsibilities)

Community & Platform Operations (Front & Back Office)

- Platform & Intranet Management: Maintain day-to-day operations of the CareRing platform and oversee our new myRoche intranet presence—keeping content fresh, relevant, and engaging.
- Front & Back-Office Support: Balance user-facing community engagement with essential administrative, content scheduling, and technical maintenance tasks.
- Safe Community Building: Help grow membership while maintaining a safe, welcoming, and collaborative space for members to connect.

Content & Strategic Communications

- Creative Content Creation: Design and roll out engaging posts, event promotions, impact stories, and member spotlight testimonials.
- Campaign Activation: Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate CareRing messaging into company-wide initiatives.

Ambassador & Stakeholder Support

- Ambassador Coordination: Support our global Ambassador Program, providing local leads with the assets and tools they need to champion CareRing.
- Leadership Connections: Assist in preparing updates and materials to showcase the value of CareRing to site leaders and project teams.

Who You Are

- Early-Stage Student Status: Enrolled during the entire period (at least 24 months) in a Bachelor’s program (or early Master’s) in Basel or nearby.
- Entrepreneurial & Eager Mindset: You don't need years of corporate experience—we care about your resourcefulness, common sense, curiosity, and willingness to learn!
- Tech & PC Savvy: Comfortable navigating digital platforms, content management tools, and social media dynamics.
- Strong Communication Skills: Fluent in English (German and any other language is a plus) with a natural ability to connect with people, write clear content, and represent a patient-first mission.
