About this role
Company overview (for the posting)
GroundControl is accelerating product development for aerospace and defense manufacturers. We're bringing AI directly to suppliers and OEMs like Protolabs, Castelion, AMCA, and Boom Supersonic. Our software directly increases production velocity for rockets, airplanes, satellites, and more. This role is on-site in SF, but will include travel.
* $160k OTE
GroundControl went through YC X25 and is backed by 8VC. This role is on-site in SF, and includes travel.
What you'll do
* Grow revenue inside our existing supplier base — converting "lite" suppliers onboarded through an OEM flow-down into full paying customers, and expanding suppliers who've adopted some but not all of GroundControl's products.
* Run technical, confident demos of the GroundControl product suite that feel smooth and effortless to prospects — comfortable enough on a laptop that nothing gets in the way of the story.
* Build fluency in the aerospace/defense supply chain — the OEMs, the suppliers, how they relate — and use it to spot expansion opportunities before they're obvious.
* Stay current on the product roadmap (we ship constantly) so you can speak credibly to what's new and translate it into customer value.
* Travel to customer sites as needed to build relationships and close deals in person.
What we're looking for
* A sense of urgency and hustle you bring to work every day.
* Experience selling software (can be in any industry)
* Comfort with technical products, or the capacity to get there fast. You don't need an engineering background, but you shouldn't be afraid to get into the weeds of a customer's process.
* Real curiosity, in three directions: about the product, customers (their business, the map, what's happening in their world), and the industry (so you know where to target and why).
Nice to have
* Experience selling into manufacturing, industrial, aerospace/defense, or other technical or regulated markets.
* Experience with land-and-expand or account-growth motions specifically, rather than pure net-new logo hunting.
