Responsibilities
- Coordinate the full recruitment administration; posting job advertisements, scheduling interviews, etc
- Prepare employment contracts, starter packs and all employee documentation
- Conducting new employee induction for onboarding
- Maintain accurate employee files and HR records to ensure compliance
- Manage high-volume HR document preparation such as printing all pay slips, every week
- Process and administer employee medical aid applications, employee cards and all related documentation
- Identify and execute employee wellness initiatives
- Compile HR reports for management including monthly workforce metrics
- Prepare absenteeism reports and calculate factory absenteeism averages daily
- Maintain statutory HR records and ensure compliance with labour legislation
- Weekly administrative duties to ensure weekly salaries are paid and ensure compliance with bargaining council
- Assist with internal and external HR audits where required
- Respond to HR-related queries from employees and management
- Assist with conflict resolution and workplace disputes within the factory
- Assist with disciplinary administration and employee relations processes where required
- Maintain training records and attendance registers
- Support the implementation of employee development initiatives and training programmes
- Attend health and safety meetings and provide HR input from a people management perspective
- Support HR related aspects of workplace safety procedures and communication
Qualifications
- Grade 12
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources
- 2 – 3 years HR Administration experience
- Previous work experience in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience with time and attendance and payroll administration
- Working knowledge of South African labour legislation will be advantageous
- Ability to work in a production / manufacturing environment
