Ecolab is seeking a highly experienced Technical Product Manager, ServiceNow Associate Portal to serve as the technical product owner and strategic advisor for our enterprise associate experience platform. Built on ServiceNow Employee Center Pro within HR Service Delivery, the Associate Portal will serve as Ecolab’s digital front door, enabling associates to find information, access services, complete tasks, and engage with enterprise workflows through a consistent and personalized experience.
This role will bridge associate needs, product strategy, experience design, and platform capabilities. You will partner closely with Product, HR, Communications, IT, Enterprise AI, UX, Architecture, and business stakeholders to shape the product roadmap and deliver scalable, intuitive, accessible, and supportable associate experiences.
As the technical product leader for the Associate Portal, you will evaluate proposed solutions, guide roadmap and backlog priorities, manage technical tradeoffs, and ensure the product remains aligned with ServiceNow standards and Ecolab’s long-term platform strategy. You will provide technical product leadership throughout the lifecycle, from discovery and design through delivery, deployment, adoption, operations, and continuous improvement.
Reporting to the leader of Technical Product Ownership within the ServiceNow Platform Organization, this role offers significant visibility and the opportunity to influence the future of digital employee experience at Ecolab.

What You Will Do
- Serve as the Technical Product Leader for the Associate Portal
- Partner with business product managers, product owners, and stakeholders to translate associate needs and business priorities into scalable ServiceNow product capabilities.
- Establish and maintain a clear product vision, technical product strategy, and roadmap for the Associate Portal.
- Evaluate proposed capabilities and provide guidance on technical feasibility, platform alignment, associate value, maintainability, and long-term product sustainability.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, integration considerations, and tradeoffs before development begins.
- Facilitate product and design discussions and build consensus across Product, UX, HR, Communications, IT, Architecture, Enterprise AI, and business teams.
- Ensure product decisions balance associate experience, business outcomes, delivery constraints, security, accessibility, global requirements, and ServiceNow platform standards.
Own Product Strategy and Roadmap
- Translate the Associate Portal vision into a prioritized and achievable product roadmap.
- Partner with Product, UX, Architecture, and Engineering to define product capabilities, outcomes, release priorities, and success measures.
- Maintain a clear view of cross-product dependencies involving content, knowledge, search, integrations, identity, data, AI, mobile experiences, and enterprise workflows.
- Evaluate ServiceNow product enhancements and emerging capabilities relevant to Employee Center Pro, HR Service Delivery, enterprise search, content experiences, workflow automation, and associate engagement.
- Develop recommendations for future investments, platform adoption, and product roadmap priorities.
- Balance near-term delivery commitments with platform reuse, upgradeability, technical debt reduction, and long-term product health.
Drive Product Delivery Excellence
- Partner with the Product Owner, Business Analyst, Software Engineering Manager, UX Lead, Architecture, QA, and delivery teams to translate roadmap priorities into epics, features, and an executable backlog.
- Guide backlog prioritization based on associate value, business outcomes, technical readiness, risk, dependencies, effort, and available capacity.
- Participate in discovery, design workshops, backlog refinement, sprint planning, demonstrations, release planning, user acceptance testing, and go-live readiness.
- Ensure product requirements, approved designs, technical dependencies, data needs, acceptance criteria, and operational expectations are understood before development begins.
- Remain actively engaged throughout implementation, deployment, stabilization, hypercare, and continuous improvement.
- Communicate product status, roadmap decisions, risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs clearly to senior business and technology stakeholders.
Guide Associate Portal Capabilities
- Provide technical product leadership for Employee Center Pro pages, microsites, navigation, taxonomy, application launchers, search, knowledge, content, services, requests, approvals, tasks, communications, and conversational experiences.
- Guide personalization strategies using personas, audience groups, user criteria, HR criteria, roles, regions, languages, and associate preferences.
- Ensure the product supports intuitive and consistent experiences across desktop, mobile, manufacturing, field, and corporate environments.
- Partner with UX and Engineering to ensure experiences are accessible, responsive, usable, high-performing, and aligned with approved designs.
- Establish reusable product patterns for portal pages, microsites, templates, navigation, taxonomy, targeted communications, and enterprise services.
- Ensure product capabilities support multilingual use, accessibility, frontline environments, privacy, security, and the needs of a global associate population.
Lead Integration and Enterprise Experience Strategy
- Define the product approach for integrations with Workday, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Viva Engage, content and digital asset platforms, EVA, and other enterprise systems.
- Partner with Architecture and Engineering to evaluate integration options, data flows, access models, dependencies, support requirements, and failure scenarios.
- Ensure integration decisions support secure, maintainable, observable, and reusable enterprise patterns.
- Establish clear product ownership and expected associate outcomes for experiences that span ServiceNow and other enterprise platforms.
- Ensure integrations include appropriate monitoring, error handling, support routing, fallback experiences, and operational accountability.
Advance Search, AI, and Automation
- Partner with Enterprise AI, Product, Architecture, and Engineering teams to shape the roadmap for enterprise search, conversational assistance, knowledge-grounded responses, and automated task execution.
- Evaluate ServiceNow AI Search, Now Assist, Virtual Agent, and workflow automation capabilities where they improve associate outcomes and align with enterprise strategy.
- Define product outcomes and success measures for search relevance, knowledge discovery, conversational experiences, assisted support, and task completion.
- Ensure AI-enabled capabilities meet Ecolab requirements for security, privacy, governance, transparency, performance, observability, and supportability.
- Identify opportunities to simplify associate journeys, reduce friction, improve self-service, and automate repeatable activities.
Own Product Health and Continuous Improvement
- Define and monitor product metrics related to adoption, search effectiveness, task completion, experience quality, content engagement, performance, availability, and operational health.
- Use product analytics, associate feedback, usability findings, support trends, incidents, defects, and operational data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Partner with Engineering and Operations to monitor the health of the portal, integrations, search, content, and critical associate journeys.
- Prioritize recurring issues, experience gaps, technical debt, unsupported capabilities, and lifecycle risks within the product roadmap.
- Ensure clear ownership and support boundaries across the Associate Portal and connected enterprise platforms.
- Guide the transition from project implementation to a sustainable internal product and operating model.
Support Content and Experience Governance
- Partner with content leaders and domain owners to establish product capabilities for content creation, approval, publication, personalization, localization, lifecycle management, and archival.
- Guide product decisions involving ServiceNow Knowledge Management, Content Experiences, enterprise content sources, metadata, taxonomy, audience targeting, and searchability.
- Establish clear product governance for portal components, page patterns, microsites, navigation structures, content experiences, and reusable capabilities.
- Ensure decisions involving content migration and disposition support a consistent associate experience and sustainable ownership model.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- 10 years of experience in enterprise platform management, technical product management, product ownership, or related technology roles.
- Significant hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform.
- Experience defining product strategy, roadmaps, capabilities, priorities, and measurable outcomes for an enterprise platform or digital product.
- Experience with ServiceNow Employee Center, Employee Center Pro, Service Portal, HR Service Delivery, Knowledge Management, or closely related capabilities.
- Experience working with product management, UX, architecture, engineering, business analysis, QA, operations, and business stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
- Experience guiding enterprise integrations, APIs, data flows, identity, security, and upstream or downstream system dependencies.
- Strong understanding of Agile product delivery, including backlog prioritization, roadmap planning, sprint planning, iterative delivery, release readiness, and user acceptance testing.
- Ability to evaluate technical solutions and communicate platform capabilities, tradeoffs, risks, and decisions to technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with demonstrated ability to influence senior business and technology leaders.
- Experience supporting global, user-facing enterprise applications with complex business, accessibility, security, content, and integration requirements.
- Ability to balance associate experience, business value, technical feasibility, platform standards, and long-term maintainability.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing Employee Center Pro or a large enterprise portal, intranet, digital workplace, or employee experience platform.
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist in HR Service Delivery or related certification.
- Product management, product ownership, or Agile certification.
- Experience with ServiceNow Knowledge Management, Content Experiences, Curated Experiences, taxonomy, audience targeting, AI Search, analytics, and personalization.
- Experience with ServiceNow Now Assist, Virtual Agent, generative AI, enterprise search, or conversational employee experiences.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with Workday, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Viva Engage, content platforms, digital asset management solutions, or enterprise AI platforms.
- Experience defining and using product analytics, adoption measures, experience metrics, and operational KPIs.
- Experience supporting a global rollout, content migration, platform modernization, or transition from a systems integrator to an internal product operating model.
Annual or Hourly Compensation Range
The base salary range for this position is $120,500.00 - $180,700.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
