SUMMARY

The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a perpetual record integrity in distribution to ensure inventory accuracy through the administration of the cycle count program and the thorough analysis and response to miscellaneous issues and receipts. The Inventory Supervisor is also responsible for overseeing the functions performed by inventory associates and other such staff.

As part of the DSV team, Associates are expected to meet company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, and quality. Associates are expected to comply with all corporate and site-specific policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Lead and oversee a team of hourly associates and team leads responsible for Inventory Control activities while supporting problem-solving efforts across site operations.

· Coordinate workforce planning and daily staffing assignments to ensure operational priorities are effectively supported.

· Monitor key performance indicators on a regular basis and evaluate data to identify process trends contributing to defects or performance gaps.

· Review daily cycle count results and reconcile variances between physical inventory and system records.

· Investigate discrepancies identified through directed cycle counts and ensure timely resolution of inventory differences.

· Audit daily inventory exception and error reports, implementing corrections and follow-up actions as required.

· Analyze and communicate monthly inventory variance data from WMS reporting, including monthly and year-to-date cycle count performance metrics.

· Evaluate stock adjustment transactions to ensure alignment with product structures and inventory control standards.

· Review miscellaneous inventory receipts and issues, taking appropriate corrective actions to maintain inventory accuracy.

· Support additional inventory control responsibilities, including transit reporting, shipping adjustments, and other operational tasks as assigned.

· Assist with associate engagement, employee relations, onboarding, and training initiatives.

· Conduct routine warehouse audits to verify compliance with safety, security, and quality standards while promoting an organized and efficient work environment.

· Prepare and communicate professional correspondence, corrective and preventive action documentation, operational reports, attendance follow-ups, coaching documentation, and employee evaluations with a high degree of accuracy.

· Facilitate daily startup meetings to communicate priorities, encourage team participation, support employee development, and ensure alignment with operational objectives.

· Foster a positive and productive team environment through effective communication, coaching, and motivation while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

· Partner with leadership to identify labor and equipment requirements needed to meet customer expectations, while developing team leads and ensuring associates are meeting performance expectations.

· Assist management as needed

· Able to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, as required by the operation. Participate in established cross training matrix activities with the opportunity to improve their knowledge in multiple areas / departments and be able to assist as a backup associate when the need may rise.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible for the inventory leads, associates and CSR within the department.

· Ensures training and development for associates knowledge of product placement and equipment usage

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

· Must have a high school diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

· 3 year experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.

· Able to operate MHE

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations

· Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

Computer Skills

· Basic computer skills

· RF Scanners

· WMS functions

Language Skills

· English (reading, writing, verbal)

Mathematical Skills

· Basic to intermediate level to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing and distributing client products.

Other

· Strong attention to detail accuracy and accomplish job task in a timely manner.

· Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance

· Must be able to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-pace work environment.

· Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months that can range from mild to moderate.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· 1-3 years’ experience working in an inventory department

· 1-3 years in a progressive leadership role.

· Current or prior MHE certification

· Bilingual English/Spanish

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear. The employee uses computer and telephone equipment. Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and distance vision. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs while following proper lifting procedures. Must be able to stand on feet for up to 8 hours per day.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

For this position, the expected base pay range is $66,528.00 – $83,160.00 Annual. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
