Job Description
JOB SUMMARY

The Supervisor Staffing Office oversees the staffing office daily activities, including supervising employees, department planning, staff meetings, shift coverage, payroll and creating/updating staff schedules. Provides leadership in influencing, motivating, managing, training, counseling, and developing staff to work toward their highest level of potential in accordance with job descriptions and competencies. Supervises the training and onboarding of new employees and ensures that staff complete required trainings and evaluations. This includes patient companions, as well as staffing employees. This position manages employee assignments and projects in the staffing office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures, including its Service Standards and its Code of Conduct.
* Delegates to staff effectively demonstrating the ability to plan, organize, direct, control, monitor and evaluate services and uses available resources, appropriately.
* Supervises staffing office activities, including department plan, staff meetings, shift coverage, payroll and creating/updating schedules (monthly, or as needed), providing constructive feedback, as needed.
* Conducts annual performance evaluations for Patient Companions. Works with Staffing Office Manager to provide performance feedback to staff on an ongoing basis. Initiates disciplinary actions as appropriate.
* Evaluates circumstances using good judgment and sets priorities in decision-making, problem solving and eliciting cooperation.
* Collaborates with Staffing Office Manager on hiring new employees. Interviews, hires, trains, and evaluates all Patient Companions.
* Mentors, coaches, develops direct reports to accomplish goals.
* Provides staff supervision and direction for designated staff. Manages assignments, special projects, pilot programs; other duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience: Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
License/Certification: None required.

* Knowledge of and ability to use basic office equipment including photocopier, fax, 10-key, printer, telephone, and desktop computer and ability to maintain orderly and accurate files and records, including confidential and sensitive material, both electronic and hard copy, for ease of access and retrieval.
* Knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer applications, such as word processing, spreadsheet and/or database and ability to quickly learn and become proficient in using staffing and scheduling applications.
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
* Ability to quickly learn the staffing and scheduling system used by the hospital for nursing staff.

Pay Range
Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role.
Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.
Minimum to Midpoint Range (Hourly): $41.48 to $53.93
