Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented  GMD Communications Network (GCN) Engineer  to join our team! In this role you will work as part of a GCN engineering team supporting GCN development, deployment, and network operations technical oversight.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Assist the GCN Product Lead to develop/document/review GCN requirements and interface control specifications; review objective evidence artifacts, review development/ installation / acceptance test plans and results, and project schedules and other programmatic details; track site installation/ test/ activation activities; analyze network performance and operations; and identify required base communication infrastructure, secure voice, and Long Haul Communication Transport (LHCT) services
- Coordinate GCN integration with other GMD Fire Control and Communications (GFCC) products (fire control/battle management, cybersecurity system, in-flight interceptor communication system, and launch support system), as well as MDA Decision Dominance Command and Control, Sensors, Facilities, and other Missile Defense System stakeholders
- Provide inputs to independent government cost estimates
- Participate in the technical evaluation of contract proposals
- Support GCN Product Lead and GCN engineering team in transitioning to DevSecOps - digital engineering approach for GCN projects
- Assist GMN in preparation, conduct, and after-action responsibilities for system requirements reviews, design reviews, project status reviews, site inspections, installation and acceptance test plans/events, fielding readiness reviews, and operational readiness reviews
- Develop and present technical reports and briefings including support to the Engineering Review Boards (ERB) and Operational Capability List (OCL) approval process

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

- Active Secret clearance or higher
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline degree related to area of specialty and 5+ years of related professional experience (NOTE: Newly-hired PhD graduates are typically hired into this level.)
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative environment composed of Government, Prime Contractor, Support Contractor, and other Government agencies personnel
- Ability to work across a vast organizational structure to effectively communicate complex technical issues
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint, Outlook)

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline and 7+ years direct experience in network engineering
- Active Top Secret clearance and SCI
- Missile defense system fire control network experience is desired

Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $103,500.00 - $181,100.00
