# Job Description Summary
The Wind QMS Leader is responsible for establishing, owning, and deploying a simple, effective, and scalable Quality Management System (QMS) across the Wind organization. This role ensures consistent process definition, governance, compliance, and continuous improvement aligned with Wind priorities and GE Vernova quality standards.
The role will design the QMS around the Wind value stream, clearly define process ownership and systems of record, drive adoption, and elevate quality maturity through disciplined execution, audits, and targeted improvement actions. Act as the rule book, if followed guarantee that the output from every function will hold highest possible quality standard and satisfy customer expectations.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

· Lead the One Wind QMS: Complete, simplify and embed a standard global QMS aligned with Wind priorities and GE Vernova quality strategy.

· Integrate standards: Bring relevant ISO requirements and the GE Vernova Zero Defect framework into one coherent operating system across the Wind value stream.

· Establish governance: Define critical processes, interfaces, process owners, decision rights and systems of record across functions, regions and sites.

· Drive adoption: Translate quality objectives into clear standard work and embed consistent execution through training, coaching, leadership engagement and follow-through.

· Own audits and compliance: Lead internal, layered process and external audits; ensure findings are closed on time through systemic corrective action.

· Improve quality maturity: Use audit insights, data, root-cause analysis, Lean and Kaizen to address recurring gaps, reduce complexity and strengthen operational consistency.

· Lead performance reviews: Track QMS indicators and guide monthly Quality Management Reviews, providing the Wind senior leadership team and CEO with clear insight on progress, risks and actions.

· Lead through influence: Mobilize process owners, functional leaders and direct or matrixed resources; challenge constructively, reinforce accountability and escalate when required.

Required Experience and Qualifications

· Significant experience owning and leading a QMS in a large, complex industrial, manufacturing or engineering organization.

· Global, multi-site responsibility, ideally within a business or organization of at least $5 billion in scale.

· Demonstrated ownership of ISO 9001 / ISO 9000 audit frameworks and direct experience working with internal and external auditing bodies.

· Proven experience simplifying, deploying and sustaining enterprise-wide processes and governance, not simply maintaining quality documentation.

· Strong understanding of end-to-end value streams, process governance, systems of record, NPI, issue resolution and change management.

· A track record of leading cross-functional transformation and securing adoption through influence in a global matrix.

· Strong executive presence, judgement and communication skills, including the ability to turn complex quality information into clear decisions and presentations.

· Experience using data, audit findings and maturity measures to prioritize action and improve execution.

Preferred Experience

· Wind, renewable energy, power generation, aerospace, automotive or comparable complex industrial-sector experience.

· Leadership of a major global QMS transformation or procedural-simplification programme.

· Working knowledge of APQP, relevant TS standards, Lean, Kaizen and structured problem solving.

· Experience leading direct and matrixed teams and using digital or AI-enabled tools to improve access to QMS knowledge.

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, operations or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

· A simple, scalable One Wind QMS aligned to the Wind value stream.

· ISO and Zero Defect expectations embedded into practical procedures and governance.

· Clear ownership of critical processes and systems of record.

· Measurable improvement in quality maturity, audit effectiveness, finding closure and operational consistency.

· Procedures demonstrably followed in day-to-day work, not only prepared for audit.

· Credible QMR reporting that drives senior-leadership decisions and accountability.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $184,000.00 and $286,000.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
