Lead Bartender
Lift Bridge Brewing Company – Stillwater, MN 32-40 Hours per Week | Weekends Required
Lift Bridge Brewing Company is looking for an experienced, energetic Lead Bartender to join our Stillwater Taproom team.
This is more than a standard bartending position. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys taking care of people, takes pride in creating an exceptional guest experience, and naturally sees what needs to be done and gets after it.
The Lead Bartender will spend the majority of their time working alongside the team behind the bar, while also taking on shift leadership, supervisory and administrative responsibilities in support of the Taproom Manager.

What You'll Do
Guest Experience & Bartending
- Deliver friendly, attentive and knowledgeable service to every guest.
- Serve Lift Bridge beer, cocktails, THC beverages, sodas and other craft beverages.
- Help guests navigate our beverage selection and make recommendations.
- Create a welcoming environment where guests want to stay-and come back.
- Handle on-site and to-go transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Verify identification and follow all applicable alcohol and THC regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized and well-stocked bar and taproom.
Shift Leadership
- Help lead the taproom team during assigned shifts.
- Set the pace for hospitality, urgency, cleanliness and teamwork.
- Coordinate staff and priorities during busy service periods.
- Support, coach and provide direction to bartenders and support staff.
- Help resolve guest concerns professionally and appropriately.
- Complete opening and closing responsibilities and ensure established procedures are followed.
- Identify problems and take initiative to solve them rather than waiting to be asked.
Taproom Operations
- Assist the Taproom Manager with day-to-day operations and administrative tasks.
- Help maintain inventory, stocking and product organization.
- Assist with staff training and onboarding.
- Support scheduling, communication and other operational needs as assigned.
- Help execute taproom events, live music, promotions and special programming.
- Provide feedback and ideas for improving the guest experience and taproom operations.

We can teach someone more about beer and beverages. Hospitality, initiative and work ethic are much harder to teach.

Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous bartending, restaurant, taproom, retail or hospitality experience required.
- Previous shift-lead or supervisory experience preferred, but not required for the right candidate.
- Ability to communicate beverage styles, flavors and recommendations to guests.
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
Schedule
This is a 32–40 hour-per-week position.
Because our busiest times are when our guests are off work, candidates must be available for:
- A combination of daytime and evening shifts, weekdays and weekend days
- Some holidays
- Special events as scheduled
