Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Charge RN, you'll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care, LTC, or nursing homes adds tremendous value to our nursing team.
Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential, which aligns with your department's operational goals and objectives.
To thrive in this role, you need to be accountable and confident. You're an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. It's also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit.
This job is responsible for providing GI nursing care of all patient populations undergoing GI procedures to include inpatient, outpatient, and those patients undergoing procedures in Radiology, ED, ICU and throughout the hospital.
Job Requirements
Required
Graduation from an accredited school of nursingPrevious GI Lab experience or new graduate with completion of a senior practicum in a specialty area (e.g., critical care, ED, PACU, or GI)Registered Nurse: WABasic Life Support - CPR through the American Heart AssociationAdvanced Cardiac Life Support, within 90 Days
Preferred
Bachelors Of Science Nursing
Two years experience within the past three years in an acute care setting, i.e., Med/Surg, ICU, PCU, PACUCertified Gastroenterology RN
Critical RN Adult/Neonatal/Pediatric/AcuteCertified Emergency Nurse
