Qualifications
POSITION SUMMARY
This position will receive, sort, endorse and disperse US mail to temporary residents on Randolph AFB. Support the organization in its mission to help change lives through the power of work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive, sort, endorse, and disperse incoming non-accountable (regular 1st class) mail, to mail boxes.
- Provide receipts for delivery confirmation mail.
- Provide forwarding service for personnel who have moved.
- Greet and assist customers at the customer service window.
- Return undeliverable parcels to USPS.
- Change lock combinations of mail boxes as personnel leave the base.
- Maintain a database directory of expected personnel to RAFB.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting, assisting, and responding to questions and/or concerns in a positive, professional, and friendly manner.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a security clearance.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Previous experience with opportunity youth, case management and adult education.
- Mail Handling experience.
- Basic computer skills.
- Successfully passed Postal Service Test 473.
- Customer Service, Good Communication, MS Office & Data Entry, Filing, basic math
- Mail Processing
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.
- For positions that require driving, must maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage, and be able to travel as needed if you drive your vehicle during company business.
