About this role
The Clinical Operations Nurse Coordinator RN II reports to the Manager of Clinical Operations. The Clinical Operations Nurse Coordinator RN II will work independently and collaboratively with the operational leadership and clinical staff to promote quality care and ensure consistency in clinical practices as they relate to regulatory standards, policies and procedures. In collaboration with the clinical leadership team and other departments, the Clinical Operations Nurse Coordinator RN II will provide support and appropriate direction (within his/her scope) for patient care activities in accordance with organizational goals and objectives as directed. The Clinical Operations Nurse Coordinator RN II is responsible for assisting with clinical quality, staff education and administrative functions. The Clinical Operations Nurse Coordinator RN II will promote quality care and ensure consistency in clinical practices. The position is a combination of clinical (direct care) and administrative responsibilities. Under the direction of the Manager of Clinical Operations, the individual in this position assists in developing and reviewing clinical competencies, policies and procedures, coordinating New Hire and annual clinical skills validations, providing nursing education as it relates to best practices and/or evidence-based practices in Ambulatory Care, as well as actively improving the patient experience.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing - minimum
- Master's Degree in a healthcare or related field of study - preferred
Experience
- 4 years working in acute care or ambulatory nursing setting required. Prefer 5 years if external candidate. - minimum
- 1 year Previous demonstrated expertise in supervising nursing education - minimum
Licenses and Certifications
- RN State License - minimum Registered Nurse Licensed in California Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - minimum BLS Certified
