Why This Role Matters

The Security Rover plays a critical role in maintaining the safety, security and overall guest experience across Heritage Companies’ hotel and hospitality assets. This position conducts highly visible patrols throughout guest areas, back-of-house spaces, parking areas, restaurants, event venues and exterior grounds to help maintain a safe, welcoming and secure environment for guests, employees, tenants and visitors.

As a mobile member of the Security team, the Security Rover responds to incidents and emergencies, monitors property activity and proactively identifies safety, security and operational concerns. This role requires professionalism, strong situational awareness, sound judgment and exceptional guest service while supporting the operational standards and culture of Heritage Companies.

What You’ll Do

- Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols of hotel and hospitality assets on foot or by vehicle as assigned.
- Maintain a highly visible, professional security presence while monitoring for suspicious activity, safety hazards, unauthorized access and other concerns.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns, disturbances, emergencies, accidents and security-related incidents.
- Assist guests, employees and visitors with escorts, lockouts, safety concerns and other assistance while providing exceptional service.
- Support security coverage and crowd management for meetings, events, banquets, entertainment venues and high-traffic areas.
- Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs and other required security documentation.
- Partner with Security leadership and property departments to support emergency response procedures and maintain safe, efficient operations.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current New Mexico Level 1 Security Guard Card.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Valid New Mexico Driver’s License required.
- Previous security, hospitality, law enforcement, military or guest service experience preferred.
- Strong observation, communication, situational awareness and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm, professional and service-oriented in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to prepare clear and accurate reports and documentation.
- Basic computer and technology proficiency.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and varied shifts based on operational needs.
