Position Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor directs employees responsible for receiving, stocking, inventory rotation, order selection, and shipping. The role ensures production runs are stocked accurately, inventory is rotated according to first-in, first-out (FIFO) practices, and customer orders are selected correctly for company transportation, third-party carriers, and will-call pickup. The supervisor also supports the cleanliness, organization, safety, and security of the warehouse and surrounding grounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, schedule, train, and support forklift operators and warehouse employees.
- Oversee daily receiving, stocking, inventory rotation, order selection, staging, and shipping activities.
- Coordinate with Production to ensure finished production runs are stocked accurately and on time.
- Maintain accurate FIFO inventory rotation and help investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure outbound orders are selected, verified, and prepared accurately for company transportation, third-party carriers, and will-call customers.
- Monitor warehouse and grounds conditions to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Train employees on safe work practices, equipment procedures, sanitation standards, and applicable warehouse policies.
- Plan and monitor daily work assignments, staffing needs, productivity, attendance, and job performance.
- Promote standards of professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
- Follow standard operating procedures and all requirements related to employee safety, food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Reports food safety and quality concerns to the key personnel that has the documented authority to initiate corrective actions.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs.

Qualifications
- Warehouse experience in the food industry, including logistics and personnel supervision or management.
- Bilingual English and Spanish required.
- Ability to read, interpret, and communicate information from purchase orders, contracts, inventory records, shipping documents, and other operational materials in both English and Spanish.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic used in inventory tracking, order processing, and shipping verification.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to follow and communicate written and verbal instructions clearly.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with inventory or warehouse management systems and basic computer functions.
- Ability to work overtime as business needs require.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, and use hands for handling materials, typing, and writing.
- Occasionally required to sit.
- Must be able to move throughout the warehouse and surrounding grounds, including areas with active equipment and elevated noise levels.
- Noise levels are generally moderate but may increase in warehouse and production areas.
