Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Education Coordinator Nurse, you will design, organize, implement, and evaluate evidence-based educational programs, orientations, and continuing education tailored for nursing staff.Every day you will facilitate the professional growth, clinical skill development, and competency of registered nurses, ensuring these programs primarily support the organization's mission, vision, values, and strategic goals to ensure quality, safety, and service in patient and family-centered care.To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong instructional design capabilities, expert clinical nursing knowledge, and the ability to effectively engage and develop nursing professionals, ultimately enhancing nursing practice and patient outcomes.
- Works closely with educators and leaders to assess and identify informational technology learning needs and to differentiate between system, process, and education solutions
- Coordinates with the Education Department staff and the director, and leaders throughout the organization to align learning with organizational goals and with regulatory compliance
- Collaborates with IS systems personnel and educators to identify the needs of new staff and assure they are educated and oriented to the information systems they will use
- Oversees the use of best practices in the development, delivery and evaluation of educational programs.
- Assures that educational needs are met through a variety of instructional methods
- Recommends alternative methods of delivery, enhanced content and promotes continuous quality improvement
Job Requirements
Required
- Bachelors BSN or equivalent BS in health field or informational systems.
- Three (3) years of clinical nursing experience
- Three (3) years of demonstrated success leading teams, managing people and/or projects, delegating tasks and tracking results
- Two (2) years of clinical staff development experience and classroom teaching
- Two (2) years of experience with Learning Management Systems and other common IT systems/applications
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association BLS
- Registered Nurse: AZ
Preferred
- Masters Other Healthcare Informatics or related field
