EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 80,000 people through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a full time RSVP Program Coordinator to join the AmeriCorps Seniors Retired and Senior Volunteer (RSVP) Program .

- Salary: $32.84 per hour

- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PM

- Location: 99 Quentin Roosevelt Blvd in Garden City

What drives the core purpose of this job:

The RSVP Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of EAC Network's AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP Program throughout Nassau County. The Coordinator recruits, trains, places, supports, and retains volunteers age 55 and older while ensuring compliance with AmeriCorps Seniors requirements and EAC Network policies. The Coordinator oversees volunteer activities, maintains documentation and performance measure data, supports volunteer station supervisors, and promotes meaningful volunteer opportunities that address food insecurity, caregiver support, social isolation, healthy aging, and resource navigation for Nassau County residents.

What are the key Responsibilities:

- Recruit, interview, screen, onboard, orient, and place AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP volunteers in approved volunteer assignments.

- Develop and implement volunteer recruitment, outreach, retention, and recognition activities to achieve and maintain program enrollment goals.

- Coordinate volunteer assignments and activities within Wellness Pantry, Meals on Wheels, In-Home Respite, Senior Centers, Family Resource Center, and other approved RSVP service locations.

- Maintain volunteer records, service agreements, attendance logs, recruitment records, training documentation, and all required program files.

- Coordinate volunteer orientation, ongoing training, quarterly meetings, and volunteer development opportunities.

- Provide ongoing support, coaching, technical assistance, and problem resolution to volunteers and volunteer station supervisors.

- Conduct site visits and monitor volunteer stations to ensure compliance with AmeriCorps Seniors regulations, EAC Network policies, program standards, and safety requirements.

- Collect, verify, track, and report volunteer activities, service outputs, outcome measures, and other program performance data required by AmeriCorps Seniors and EAC Network.

- Prepare reports, maintain databases, assist with grant reporting requirements, monitoring visits, audits, and program evaluations.

- Coordinate volunteer recognition events, appreciation activities, milestone awards, and retention initiatives.

- Facilitate communication among volunteers, station supervisors, community partners, and EAC Network management regarding program activities and performance.

- Represent EAC Network and the RSVP Program at community events, volunteer fairs, outreach activities, senior centers, and partner meetings.

- Assist with development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives designed to enhance volunteer engagement and program outcomes.

- Maintain familiarity with AmeriCorps Seniors regulations, program requirements, performance measures, and reporting expectations.

What key knowledge, skills, and abilities are required to excel in this role:

- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services, nonprofit management, public administration, or related field preferred; significant relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

- Experience recruiting, training, supervising, and retaining volunteers preferred.

- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with volunteers, staff, community partners, and stakeholders.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and reporting requirements.

- Ability to collect, analyze, track, and report program performance and outcome data accurately.

- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment while maintaining confidentiality.

- Must be proficient in office and computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar programs, e-mail, database software, and virtual meeting platforms.

- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

- Valid New York State Driver License and ability to travel throughout Nassau County.
