Your opportunity

We're looking for an experienced AOD practitioner with leadership experience to join Djindigal Residential Rehabilitation and Aftercare Service as Team Leader.

As Team Leader, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day operations of a specialist 10-bed residential rehabilitation facility, supporting and developing a team to deliver high-quality, recovery-focused support for residents.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll provide supervision and coaching, facilitate therapeutic groups with residents, manage day-to-day operational issues and help ensure the service delivers high-quality, evidence-based support.

We're looking for someone with strong Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) experience who enjoys developing people, supporting positive outcomes and leading by example. If you're passionate about helping others and want to make a real difference in a leadership role, we'd love to hear from you.

Your key responsibilities will be to

- Lead and support a team delivering residential rehabilitation and aftercare services.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of a specialist 10-bed residential rehabilitation facility.
- Facilitate therapeutic group programs and support residents throughout their recovery journey.
- Support employees managing complex resident needs, challenging behaviours and crisis situations.
- Drive continuous improvement and promote evidence-based practice across the service.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to support positive resident outcomes.

Requirements for success

- Demonstrated experience working within Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) services, ideally in a residential rehabilitation setting.
- Experience leading, supervising and developing employees in a health, community services or residential care environment.
- Strong understanding of evidence-based AOD practice and the ability to support people with complex needs, challenging behaviours and crisis situations.
- Demonstrated ability to drive service quality, continuous improvement and best-practice service delivery.
- Experience facilitating therapeutic groups and supporting positive recovery outcomes.
- Relevant qualification in AOD, Community Services, Human Services or a related field
- Current unrestricted Driver's licence and current First Aid and CPR certification.

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
