Human Resources Specialist
Ready to be the heartbeat of our team? We are looking for a dynamic Human Resources Specialist who loves connecting with people and keeping the gears turning behind the scenes. From scouting top talent to mastering our Paycom platform, you will be the ultimate culture champion and operational backbone of our organization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment
- Recruits and manages the talent acquisition process within our HR platform, Paycom.
- Moves applicants through the process from requisition to hire.
- Screens applicants via teams and/or phone.
- Communicates with managers on hiring steps and dispositions out non-selected candidates.
Onboarding
- Leads the full onboarding process.
- Conducts orientation during the start of the season (and on occasion during the off season)
- Assign training to employees utilizing our training platforms and monitors for completion.
Employee Inquiries
- Listens and responds to employee inquiries either by phone, email, or in person
- Assists incoming team members, managers or applicants and provides accurate information.
Data and Records Management
- Aids in maintaining employee personnel files, filing paperwork, distributing information, creating new hire/termination paperwork, auditing materials (such as notices, forms, training documents, etc.).
- Acts as the main HR point of contact in absence of the HRD.
Compliance Support
- Track documentation to ensure adherence to federal, state and local employment laws (for example, CA Food Handlers, Harassment Trainer, Boater Safety Cards).
Benefits and Payroll Administration
- Assist employees with benefit enrollment when needed.
- Assist with benefit open enrollment.
- Assist payroll with any inquiries as they pertain to new hires, benefits, reporting.

Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Proficient in English (conversational Spanish a plus)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively deal with a variety of audiences, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
- Strong computer literacy including knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office Suite of products including Teams.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion while performing various responsibilities.
- Abilit to prioritize workload; managing various projects and demands on a concurrent basis.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Good problem solving and research skills.
- High School Graduate
- Four-year college degree is preferred.
- Minimum of two-years human resources experience (three years without a degree preferred)
