Pre Construction Coordinator, APJC Data Center Capacity Delivery

Description

As a Pre Construction Coordinator, you will support the front-end planning and coordination for the construction of Amazon Data Centers. Working alongside partner teams — including Due Diligence, Engineering, Technical Program, Construction, Procurement, and Finance — you will help deliver data centers that directly support our customers.
In this role, you will support the teams that build some of the most interesting electrical and mechanical systems in the world. You will be office-based with requirements to visit future and current development sites. Reporting to the Head of Pre Construction APAC, you will interact with Regional Pre Construction Managers and stakeholders, and be directly responsible for supporting the fast, high-quality delivery of our data center pre construction activities.
Your responsibilities will span communication coordination with vendors and stakeholders, information workflows, document management, monthly progress reporting, Digital platform updates, schedule updates, minor procurement initiation and tracking, and developing tools and workflows to streamline pre construction coordination activities.

Key job responsibilities
• Assist the team in the production of monthly project reporting deliverables including
– Project Delivery plans
– Monthly status reports
– Cost planning updates
– Schedule updates
– Maintain digital platforms for accurate data
• Assist the team with documentation and control tasks, including
– Drafting templatized consultant and construction contracts
– Compiling and storing Pre construction data across teams
– Updating Project Management software with milestone dates, correspondence, and documents.
– Set up project management software system per new project.
– Preparation of agendas and minutes
• Monitoring and actioning Procurement activities
• Assist Pre Construction Managers (PCMs) with administrative tasks.

A day in the life
As a Pre Construction Coordinator, you are a collaborative team member that keeps our data center projects moving. You will triage what lands from vendors, partner teams and Pre Construction Managers, and use live data to keep the team honest on time, cost, quality and progress. Much of your day lives in digital tools, keeping milestones, correspondence and reporting accurate. You must be an effective communicator with the diplomacy, patience and tact to earn trust and follow up across teams. By day's end the projects are better organized than you found them, freeing the managers to deliver.

About the team
You will be integrated with a global network of Pre Construction and Construction professionals — including Pre Construction Managers, Program Managers, Regional Managers and Regional Project Engineers — as well as partner teams across Due Diligence, Engineering, Procurement, Finance and the Data Engineers. Our Data Center Pre-Construction team owns and drives the process for program, cost, constructability, procurement and delivery strategies, from bid analysis through to contract award. As Coordinator, you will be the connection point across these teams — keeping communication, documentation and reporting flowing so the Pre Construction Managers can deliver fast, high-quality data centres.

Basic Qualifications

- High school or equivalent diploma
- Experience with Microsoft office tools like Word, Excel, Outlook, and OneNote, or experience with computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management or similar technical focus
