The Role
Due to our continuous growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Fire Alarm Testing Technician. You'll join our service team to support our increasing client base and help ensure we continue to deliver outstanding customer service. This role will be a key part of our service team, working under the guidance of the Operations Manager, with responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- Conducting monthly, quarterly, six-monthly, annual and five-yearly routine testing and maintenance of fire alarm systems
- Performing inspections and testing in accordance with AS1851 and other relevant Australian Standards
- Maintaining Fire Indicator Panels and Emergency Warning Systems
- Liaising directly with clients regarding routine maintenance activities and system performance
- Completing service reports, quotations and compliance documentation
- Identifying and reporting defects, non-compliances and safety risks
- Working safely and in accordance with company procedures and industry requirements

About You
The successful applicant will have a current Victorian Driver's Licence and demonstrate a commitment to safety, compliance and customer service. You will enjoy working both independently and collaboratively, building positive relationships with clients and colleagues while delivering a high standard of work.
You are organised, reliable, and take pride in maintaining quality standards. You are comfortable communicating with a range of stakeholders and have a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Your Education, Experience and Skills
- Experience working with fire alarm systems and routine testing activities
- Knowledge of AS1851 and associated Australian Standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and provide a high level of customer service
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
- Ability to manage workloads and complete tasks within required timeframes
- Comfortable using mobile devices, reporting systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Current Victorian Driver's Licence
- Successful applicant required to undertake a Police Check and any client-specific clearances as required
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience testing, maintaining or servicing Fire Indicator Panels and Emergency Warning Systems
- FPAS accreditation
- Relevant trade qualification or equivalent experience within the fire protection industry
- Experience preparing compliance documentation, service reports and quotations
- Ability to support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to team success
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
