As an APAC Asset Management Events Manager - Vice President in the APAC Asset Management Events team, you will be responsible for translating regional growth agenda into thoughtful event strategies, personalized client experiences and measurable outcomes. This role requires strategic thinking, strong execution, creativity, commercial judgment, stakeholder confidence and a hands-on, team-first approach.
You will work closely with partners across sales, marketing, product, investments, compliance, legal and regional market teams to deliver events that are distinctive, well-controlled and aligned to J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s standards. You will be a trusted partner who can create clarity, earn trust, solve problems in real time and raise the standard of event delivery across the region.
Job responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of high-quality in-person client, regional and internal events across APAC.
- Partner with stakeholders across sales, marketing, product, investments, compliance, legal and regional market teams to define event objectives, priorities and success measures.
- Translate regional objectives into clear event strategies, formats, agendas, attendee journeys and measurable outcomes.
- Bring creative, practical and innovative ideas to event concepts, themes, venues, content flow, branding, client engagement and follow-up.
- Design thoughtful, personalized and data-informed event experiences that reflect client needs, market nuances and growth priorities.
- Own project plans, timelines, critical paths, budgets, approvals, risk checkpoints and event governance.
- Manage venues, vendors, speakers, materials, rehearsals, production requirements and run-of-show documents.
- Lead on-site execution, including registration, venue setup, speaker rehearsals, vendor coordination, issue resolution and attendee experience.
- Use event data, feedback and business input to measure impact, identify insights and elevate future events.
- Identify ways to improve processes, reduce manual effort, leverage approved technology and make events more scalable and effective.
- Maintain strong compliance, risk and control standards, escalating issues early, acting with sound judgment and sharing best practices across the region.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in event management, marketing, communications, hospitality or a related field.
- Proven experience leading and project managing multiple complex in-person events from strategy and planning through on-site execution and post-event measurement.
- Strong understanding of premium client event standards within asset management, financial services or another highly regulated industry.
- Strong budget management, vendor negotiation, supplier oversight and financial reporting experience.
- Creative and commercially aware, with the ability to bring fresh, practical and audience-focused ideas that deepen client engagement, advance growth priorities and reinforce market positioning.
- Strong interest in personalized experience creation and elevating the end-to-end attendee journey.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with confidence advising senior stakeholders and working across regional teams.
- Hands-on, team-first approach, with the willingness to roll up your sleeves, stay close to the details and work with the team wherever needed.
- Tech-forward and data-minded, with the ability to leverage approved event technology, analytics, automation and AI-enabled tools to enhance attendee experience, streamline execution, improve personalization and measure impact.
- Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin is essential, with flexibility to deliver events outside standard working hours and travel as required.
